So , after so many years , I finally scored to find a girlfriend to hunt with me . I have had hunting buddies come and go . Now my hunting buddy is my girlfriend , she doesn't make excuses to not scout or share the expense of hunting trips . She cooks and cleans her mess up and usually gets me a beer in camp when I'm to tired to get out of my chair around fire . With that said , other issues come up . Now she wants Swarovski binoculars , best hunting camo , best hunting boots , better tripod , best backpack to hold all items for trophy pictures . Really ! I have begged and put on my best power talk why I need to upgrade my stuff after 5 years . But honey !!! You can use my old Vortex binos , backpack and tripod . That conversation lasted 2 minutes . So now on to hunting together , she will glass from sun up to sun set . She will look over at me , taking a nap and say you can't see animals with your eyes closed . She will set the alarm clock for her hour before to get up and put makeup on , fix her hair in baseball cap , pick out her camo for the day , turn on every light in the tent . My alarm clock finally goes off and I love my snooze button and I hear Cmon baby we have to go !!!! I can go on and on about hunting with my better half . I have learned through the years , how to make hunting together work . We put in for separate tags now , she picks her unit and what she wants to hunt . If she gets drawn , I give her 100% and the same for me if I get drawn . She got drawn bull elk this year , so game on this year . Separate tags , has really made hunting together as a couple now a great time and have fun doing it together . I would like to learn , how others have made hunting together work .

Best way to kill time is scouting new places on google earth . I found this plane and have never seen it before , on this same road . My GPS tracks , says I went right bye it on my quad . Is it just me or am I seeing very large plane parked ?

Way I see it myself, is this spotting scope will be sitting around a lot and used for long distance close up peeks . I hear and see spotting scopes going up for sale . Having 1500 to 2000 dollars waiting for call of duty . My 15x56 get a work out all year . Maybe that's why hunters pull the trigger on Vortex for price to try , but resale cheaper later . I don't want to spend over 1500 , but will go 500 more for very big difference

Rossislider what's your thoughts on Vortex Gen 2 ? Big brown , do you know where to get a good price on Meopta ?

This post has me thinking! I will be buying a spotting scope in next 2 months. With out being able to try every spotting scope out on 7 day hunting trip to determine best choice . I have $1500.00 ready to go when tax return shows up . Is Vortex a strong runner up ? I truly know I won't be packing it around , my 15x56 will be in my pack all times . I want to use the spotting scope for long range shooting to . Help me narrow down and get the best for 1500 . Hunters will give best reviews.

Wannakillabigbull Grads getting drawn , I saw this post for 7 W , my girlfriend has same tag . Now there will be 498 tag holders competing against us for a bull . Now if they bring a hunting buddy , it's a 1000 people looking for a good bull . Roads will be slammed with road hunters , every potential glassing spot will be occupied. If it's dry , waterholes will be occupied. Sounds fun ha ! I have never hunted 7 W myself or helped in the unit . Sounds like we both have experience on hunting elk , I know I will be focusing on out smarting other hunters , let them make mistakes. I will out hike them , out glass them and be up in Am before them . My girlfriend and I just need to be in the right place and right time . Elk will be up all night and heading for bedding before sun comes up . Bottom line elk are elk , I'm sure Colorado gets hammered more then Az , utilize what you've learned in Colorado it work here just the same . C you up there

I find it amazing , what you hear and learn . Word on the construction jobsite. Cartel will be doing some shooting practice to workers on the wall . Being a construction superintendent , you couldn't pay me a million a year to be shot at or having my workers shot . I can see why Trump says Mexico will build wall ,it will bring money to workers to Mexico and save American lives building it . Coming from construction back ground ,this wall will take forever ! Being a Federal job ,cost will be triple a state job. Just think ! Machinery needed , workers needed , inspections needed , material needed , life insurance , engineering needed . This wall will be crazy , for years .

There was no freaking election hack. All of those emails were REAL. Even the libs do not dispute that. giving the voters more truthful information is not election hacking. CNN giving Hillary the debate questions in advance however...... I get pissed off everytime I hear that phrase. An election hack is when someone gets in the computer and messes with the result of the election. This was an email hack and press leak of said hacked emails. The dems and the media just have their panties all bunched up because they lost what they thought was an unloseable election to a candidate they thought couldnt possibly win.

Yes , cartels have border locked down . It's amazing how they do it with just a few scouts on tall mountain with walkie talkies . No one gets cross with out paying Cartel fees . Using a cartel coyote ,will keep you from severely being punished.

We need to pull border patrol into places their needed and not places 300 miles away and get better surveillance technology.
