I am very brand new to reloading and want to load some 210 Bergers I have figured out my COAL can only be 3.64 to fit in my magazine. I will be using H 1000 and start my loads from 74 grains to Max loads of 76 , not sure if I can go above 76 grains with out pressure problems.I will be useing Winchester cases and Winchester large rifle for magnum load primers I'm not sure where my bullet will sit off the lands with bullet set at 3.64 , but have to set that depth because of magazine.Don't want a single shot and don't want to hurt my rifle, but my 300 loves high speed. My barrel is a custom barrel 26.5 before break and I want to load H1000 to Max with 210 Bergers I wonder is 76 my Max load at COAL 3.384

I just finally got a chance to buy a good scope for my 300 win mag , a Zeiss conquest 6.5 x 20 with factory turret . I was hoping for someone to give me some information , I see the scope is 1/4 per click per 1 " and I re set the turret on my scope to zero at the white line and I zeroed my gun to 100 yards and was wondering if I would be able to be able to use the turret out to 500 yards .I have spent many hours and rounds to come up with a very sweet round for this gun all ready , I checked this with 4 shot groups to out to 500 yards at 4 shot groups and measured the drop in inches ( all shots to 1' to 2" out to 500 yards. i have listed the drop-age out to 500 yards and one full turn on the turret is 16 clicks 100 zeroed 200 - 1" 1/2 " = 6 clicks 300 - 7 1/2 " = 2 full turns 400 - 19 1/2 " = 5 full turns 500 - 36 " = 9 full turns I don't know if I have bumped my head if this will work , just running out of time to go out and shoot a lot of rounds , I will definitely run out and check out to 400 yards at 4 shot groups Thanks for any input

Zeiss 6.5 x .20 scope factory turret
seek100plus replied to seek100plus's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I have totally bumped my head, there is no way this theory is right, so I checked on my other Zeiss scope with a reputable turret and should be some where like 200 6 clicks 300 15 clicks 400 26 clicks 500 38 clicks I will be going out tomorrow to check this new theory out , my 300 mag shoots a Berger VLD 168 at 3050 FPS average -

I drew a early archery bull elk tag in unit 9 , I will be scouting all summer to learn water source and roads to get to locations, tell it becomes my second home. I have never hunted this area, before so I have know idea what I'm up against , keeping a animal cooled down in September in this unit 9 ,securing a water hole or trick tank, tree stands and cameras getting stolen, animals staying higher elevation or lower when the rut starts or what not things to do. I have the whole elk hunting covered, but never hunted unit 9 to learn from past experience . Any advice would be great, I know I wont draw this unit again for along time ,I really want do my homework and gain as much knowledge as possible to make this hunt the best hunt of my life.

seek100plus replied to king4wd's topic in Turkeys!
I was just curious if you can use a electronic caller for Turkey, I thought I read you can't use electronic callers? I dont have regulations to confirm,if so I want to let my son set up and call his own bird in by himself and videotape from a safe distance. -

foxpro calling sequence
seek100plus replied to justin_birch's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
When I’m calling for predators with my foxpro, I pick my terrain per individual predators. Bobcats , I like to hunt very brushy areas or cotton felids , bobcats like to stalk and surprise there prey ,so I use a very high pitchy sounds cottontail, woodpecker and distress grey fox , I highly recommend a decoy and never move a inch they will pick that movement up and disappear into the thicket .Coyotes like to run their prey down in open areas , I like to use a blood gargling jack rabbit sound , start off low and turn the volume up high .Foxes are just stupid , I like to use higher pitch sound’s , like birds , cottontails and a fox distress is my favorite . Fox distress is all round great sound for everything , every predator is out to kill foxes in there territory , you want to find foxes ,look for areas with boulders and you will find foxes .When hunting foxes , most of the time they will come in as pairs ,so always look for the second one . I also like to throw in my mouth calls at the same time as my fox pro , works great . -
I was doing a quad ride with friends up to Crown King and on the way back down to Lake Pleasant, I ran into a very poor shape lion hound, very skinny,. I would say from last week, some lion hunter trying to cut tracks or on a hunt when it snowed. Hound had a GPS unit on . I tried to feed him, but he wouldn’t come near me and just ran off .I marked the spot on my GPS if anybody knows of a guide or hunter who lost a dog. The dog will stay in the area because there was water and to weak to go far . I would say by the looks he has only a few days left. It was very hard to leave hunting dog in that condition , but I tried for hours to help , but the dog kept running off . I hope everyone on this site would contact any lion hunter they know who hunts Crown King area, contact me and I will get them the direction and even help find the dog again.

Anybody loose a lion dog with GPS (CrownKING )
seek100plus replied to seek100plus's topic in Mountain Lion
The hound I saw was in really bad shape , I wouldn't want him to die doing something he was trained to do . I hate to see a animal die from starvation . I would say at this point anybody want a lion dog or want the location from GPS where the hound was last seen . -
Covert and a bear box , simply the best .I am selling the rest of my cameras
