just read your story in the western hunter. truly inspiring story. there is not many men that would put that kind of time and effort into a hunt like you did. just want to congratulate you on sticking with it on one of the hardest areas to hunt sheep in. simply awesome.

i was huntin bear last year on the back side of casner, and i noticed the gate was locked once you crossed that long ridge towards the powerlines. dont be surprised if it is still locked. good luck.

i think you must be talking about the navajo depot. fort apache is a long ways away from 6b. you can get in the north side through railroad springs area through garland prarie. it should be on the coconino map. i here there is some good bulls on the depot. never been in there though. seen lots of elk down south of the depot. good luck!

was huntin with my uncle this weekend. heard a bull buglin and snuck in. cow called one of his cows in. had him come in at about 55 yards tryin to get his cow back. he couldnt get a shot, as he was behind a couple pines. bull busted him drawing back. that was sat. a.m. nothing on sun. there were a ton of people driving around and bugling from trucks as usual. convinced me not to put in for that area. he loves the area tho. too dang dry as well. good luck to you guys!
