    Good problem 2 tags

I killed a 91" deer with my bow last year, and donated my rifle tag to a charity. Granted it was an early rifle tag, but in my opinion nothing beats harvesting an animal with a bow!

    2" or 4" Vanes

If you decide to use the 2" vanes, give the Vane Tec's a look. I switched to them this year and couldnt be happier!

    drop-away rests

I just bought a new bow and I am looking to put a drop-away rest on it. I have always shot a whisker biscuit, but would like to try a new arrow rest this year. What do you guys use and why? I have looked at the whammy, vapor trail, and the ultra-rest by Quality Archery Designs. Also does anybody use the ripcord?

    Contest Question?

Since nobody got drawn at the department except the Chief, the guys decided to have an archery big buck contest. The problem is that not everybody hunts coues deer, so my question is how would you for instance compare a 90" coues to a mule deer, and so on? What do you guys think would be the equivalent?

    Predator Hunting Contest

I think designating a location in a couple different parts of the state would be a good idea. Maybe one in the White Mountain area, I know there are a few of us up here. One in Flagstaff, the southern part of the state, and somewhere in the valley. That would still allow hunters to meet and help process pelts etc. Either way Im in, as long as its not during my archery bull hunt in Nov.

    two deer in five days

So far this has been a very good week for me. I was fortunate enough to harvest a mule deer in Utah on Monday.(see post in other big game, under small utah archery bucks). And took this coues today @ 0800 this morning. Two other bucks came in with this guy, one was slightly bigger but did not present a shot. I shot this buck at 18 yards from a treestand. He is my best to date!!! I am a very tired but happy man today! What do you guys think he wil score?
