What a nice buck! Congrats! After exerting himself like that he couldn’t run too far! -
I just purchased a T3 last week. I havent had a chance to fire it yet. Thanks for the headsup

Is that the Garmin Astro collar on your dog? I’m thinking of buying one and was wondering how well it worked.

MI man fined and revoked for killing elk too close to homes

He didn't pay for this elk, or any elk for that matter. He paid for the OPPORTUNITY to hunt elk as prescribed in the regs. I think you missed the point. -

Sorry guys but I’m glad they threw the book at him. I don’t want anyone shooting that close to my house and I am sure many of you feel the same. He was shooting WITHIN 400 yards of houses! And I’m sure he was using a high caliber rifle. If Malik can pay 135,000 for a tag in Az I’m sure he won’t miss out on hunting the other states that will let him hunt. The only thing that doesn’t make since to me is why the 14,995 for the “states loss of the 408-point, velvet-antlered elk”. He already paid for 1 elk. From the picture it looked like a 14-point. John McClendon got off easy! He should have known better. -
All I can say is wow.

It was taken in 37B and the pic was taken in Tucson.

I have been in the telecom industry for about 12 years and I am directly effected by the price of copper every day. From what I have seen in just the past 12 years over all the price of copper has only gone up. The box's of cable I buy have only gone up in price and never down due to copper. After a job is done I always scrap the cable at the same scrap yard. What I receive per lb. is still at least double of what I used to receive say 6 years ago. Soooo yes I think the copper industry can take a slight fall. Hate it if you like... just my 2 shiny copper pennies. -

As some of you already know I am new to Coues hunting and am looking for a little advice. Don’t worry I’m not “e-scouting” I enjoy my time in the outdoors. I recently took a scouting trip in unit 23. I have never hunted this unit before but I found some pretty good locations that hold deer and I was able to glass a few small groups of Does. I am pretty confident if I had more time I could have found a buck or two. I have a Coues tag for next week and my question is what would be a Bucks behavior during this season? Should I be looking for and around Does? Are the Bucks alone during this time? Thanks in advance for the great advice as I am sure many will chime in.

Great shot Jared! Have your Dad hang em on your bedroom wall. Be proud little hunter!

Looks like it was worth the trip alone! Not to mention a great Buck! Congrats!

Great story and pic's!!! It's nice to know there's still good people out there that get youth involved. Great job Gino!
