13a Archery Strip tag DIY with my family (2013)
atforest replied to aguas's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Very cool aguas, and congrats on a nice deer. Thanks for telling your story. I just got real excited for my 13a strip hunt in just over a month. -
I plan to purchase something like this -- more of a power bank. http://www.amazon.com/PowerGen-12000mAh-Lightning-sensation-Thunderbolt/dp/B0085OB0IE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377187923&sr=8-1&keywords=mobile+power+pack

Go the nearest water store. You will spend a little more but the ice will last longer.

13a archery tag - not looking good??
atforest replied to azpredator@work's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
Sneaker, I sent you a PM. I have a general question that I know azbowhunter88 already addresses to some degree. What do you glass? Do you go up high and glass down? Do you stay down low and glass up? Do you find some mountain meadows and glass those? -

Would you say the deer numbers are higher on Trumbull or Logan? -

I would agree unless the number of applicants on your application exceeded the number of left over tags. Can you tell us what hunt number it was?

2 1/2 Times the Number of Elk and Pronghorn Applicants
atforest replied to mpriest's topic in Elk Hunting
The news section on their site reads this way: “We’re seeing more than two-and-a-half times the number of applications we received on deadline day last year, which shows the passion hunters have for these hunts.” I read/understand this to mean it was just the last day that had 2.5 times the number of applications. -
Well that explains a lot. These are all spotlight or floodlight tags that are just down right evil. A tag provider will place one or two tags on a web page and allow those tags to open up any number of tags at which point the the original site has no control over what is opened.

I used these binos this weekend for 2 days on an elk hunt and was amazed at how sharp/crisp the image is. However, I just don't use them enough to warrant hanging on to them. I think in the 2 days I hunted I only looked through them for about an hour combined. Since they are now used how about $1000.

I recently won some 10 x 32 Nikon EDG II binoculars from Camera Land NY. My plan was to keep them until I started looking at youth rifles over at the Sportsmans Warehouse, so here are the details: These are still new in the box, I pulled them out at home to test them out, but other than that they have not been used. Here is the link to these binos over on the Camera Land NY website: http://www.cameralan...?page=nikon7569 My asking prices is $1500.

Bump...any offers?

Bump...any offers? How about any trade/cash offers. I am looking to pick up some Vortex HD glass this fall.
-
Thanks. I have been watching a few on ebay to see what they sell for. I may end up going that route if the price is right, if not I wil just keep them for myself.
-
Price dropped to $1300.

Any trade offers? I am looking to get some cash out of the deal to buy a youth rifle, but would consider some of the following items in trade as partial payment. Fanny pack GPS Mid-range glass (e.g. Vortex HD)

When I was researching this same topic I learned that from 1996 through 2003 Coleman used an ABS Roof that is bad news. If you are looking at Colemans I would suggest you look into this first. Good luck and enjoy!

Anything that can be reheated in a pot on your gas stove. My personal favorites are sloppy joes, pulled pork, and chicken & rice burritos. Works great when you get back to camp after dark!

Does it have a detachable magazine?

Is the .243 the Youth Model? Does it have the Accutrigger?
