Fishing in March can be spotty, but you will still have a lot of fun and could luck into some Yellowtail. The Outer Limits is a great boat, but I'm not sure it runs day charters, mostly overnight and longer, but I could be wrong as I only fish there out of SD from July-September. I like to fish with Seaforth and highly recommend the boat "San Diego" on a 3/4 day. It usually runs $145 a head. It's not uncommon to see ladies on the boat, but it will be a long day for them if they won't fish and aside from seeing dolphins probably not much fun. None of the 1/2 and 3/4 day open party charter boats are built for comfort. You could look up a "6 pack charter" if cash is no problem, that would be more fun for the whole family but it does cost more. http://www.seaforthlanding.com/pages/fishcount.php you can also find historic counts for March here as well: http://www.sportfishingreport.com/pages/boatdetail.php?month=3&year=2017&boat_id=248 http://www.sportfishingreport.com/pages/boatdetail.php?month=3&year=2016&boat_id=248

In my experience this time of year the southern access point can be crowded at the campground...lots of folks hoping for browns in the spawn. The hike down isn't bad. Fish the west canyon walls at sundown where the lake turns to creek. Bring good headlamps and mark the trail if you fish after dark...it can be tough to find. For the last 3-4 miles the road in can be bad with mud (but I think its been dry for a while up there), one year it took 5 bucks in quarters to get my truck clean at the DIY carwash after a trip. If you have access to a lightweight inflatable raft or float tube it can open up a lot more water...just dont try to portage a heavy canoe...you may regret it on the hike out.

I'd contact Dry Creek Outfitters, the fly shop on River (and Swan?), pretty sure they offer casting clinics, fly tying, etc. once in while, and the Old Pueblo chapter of Trout Unlimited, they could help you line up an audience.

Suggestions on Savage Replacement Barrels
Siwash posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I just picked up and older left hand Savage 110DL in .30-06 at a reasonable price. Future plan is to build off the action (finding a lefty action is tough) and like most Savages it does have a barrel nut so swapping barrels seems to be fairly simple. Plan is to go with a 6.5x284. There other several manufacturers that offer screw in replacements: Shilen, McGowen, Krieger, Criterion. Anyone have experience with any of these companies? Maybe it is a Ford/Chevy question... I would be looking at a 26" blued barrel, #4 or 5 contour and $400 would be the budget. Also, aside from Boyd's and Choate it doesn't look like there are many Savage lefty stocks available out there. Of those two, I'd lean towards Choate. A custom McMillan isn't in my budget. Anyone aware of any other lefty stock manufacturers out there? Thanks for reading. -

Posted this last week and had an offline friend claim it, then decide it wasn't what they needed. so they are back up. Used Swarovski tripod adapter for SLC binos, most commonly used for 15x56 but also works with 10X. Won't work with old school slc 8x30 or EL Swaros. $65 TYD or local pick up in Tucson, work/live in midtown.

For Sale: Used pair of Docter Nobilem 15x60B porro prism binos. Glass is clean/no scratches, the rubber armor coating shows wear consistent with field use. Includes field case and tripod adapter. Here are some specs: http://www.eurooptic.com/docter-optic-nobilem-15x60-binocular-anthracite.aspx I have owned Swaro 15 and Minox Bd 15 in addition to these. In my opinion, they are superior to the Minox and I do not feel like I am missing anything when I glass with them over the Swaros (non HD), but they do not carry the edge to edge clarity that the Swaros have. $575 in Tucson. I have the original box too, but I'm moving and you would need to bear with me on locating it. Would also throw in a nice bogen tripod and promaster ball head for another $50. These binos are in Tucson. Thanks for looking.

Starting some remodels on a recent mid town Tucson home purchase, I have a few items that need to go: 1. Murphy Bed Wall Unit with bed, two desks/tables and plenty of storage. All told it's 87" x 164" Murphy Bed are expensive, sweet for someone's cabin or office/garage remodel, etc...$750 or let's work on a trade. 2. Sold. 3. Sold. This is all located near El Con mall and I'm gonna put it on Craigslist soon too. Trades considered are plus/minus cash on my end are quality binos from 8x to 10X, LEFT handed bolt action rifles, and cow tuna class saltwater fishing outfits. Thanks for looking.

Pretty sure I used to own this shotgun. If so it's very light and swings well.

Bump, found the factory box/owner's manual. It's not dated but it does have an email address on it so they have to be made in the last 20 years or so. $600 with the Manfrotto 190/Promaster Ball head. This is a turn key glassing set up.
-
I have owned them since early 2009, bought them from the original owner but actual age is unknown to me but can share the serial number if that's a valid way to date them. I wanna say the box was trademarked late 90s maybe early 2000s so they probably aren't from the 80s...if Docter even produced them that long ago. Never needed to have them serviced so they have not been sent for repairs while I have owned them.
