I was in 34A this past weekend and saw four bears at our first call stand. Sow and two grown cubs and then a really nice boar... Rookie hunter got a tad excited at his first bear sighting in Arizona and missed two cuts at Osa grande....

Hunting spring bear tactics questions?
Rombo replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Your best odds are waiting for the fall hunts in August and early October when the bears feeding patterns are more predictable. If hunting the spring OTC hunts, the later in the hunt the better and the higher the better. Calling is an option but much more effective in the fall after the fawn drop. Best of luck! -
+3 on the Leupold Ultimate Slam (3x9-40). Awesome scope if used with the correct load.

Anyone recognize this tree stand and Camera?
Rombo replied to Bownut98's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Looks like a stand that I know of in 35A that has been there for years... Hunt away, just leave the other guys property alone... -
Tommorrow at 9:37 AM they will hit the first CC...

33 is a great unit for Javelina if you are willing to get off the road and use your glass. I glassed four herds from one glass spot in january and we harvested four pigs this last weekend with four purple heart veterans from two BIG herds... Great unit!!!

Here is a photo of my good friend from Alaska's bull from Northern Arizona. Bull is 395" as is and is missing 20"+ inches from his right side. His left antler is 8 points and scores 205" by itself... Kinda a toad!! Gotta love Arizona!!
-
I will share the photos with him, but I don't think it is the same ram. His ram has much more obvious age rings but the horn configuration is very similar. Great photos. Gotta love those sheep!!!!

Final SCI Score is 396 5/8" as is. There are some great trail cam photos of this bull (Dos Equis) being sent to us, so I will post a photo of him once he is restored to his original stature... Thanks for all the great kudos and comments and good luck in the field over the holiday season!

Lionhunter, you are correct on his mother not being required to be present. His father was present with us to comply with the requirements of the transfer law. It was an amazing hunt for an amazing young man who was born with Type 1 diabetes. He did an awesome job and was able to harvest his ram on the morning of his 10th birthday! In case you have not seen the photos, here are a few posted with his permission.
