I was out fishing today. Caught this trout, and believe it is a wild Tiger Trout. Thoughts?? Brooks and Browns are in the same water. Is this rare or common?

At this point they do believe it is a wild born Tiger Trout, very rare. It has nothing to do with the tiger trout being raised at Tonto, which are all mature and ready to be stocked. They are still working on it and will get back to me with more info.

AZGFD told me they will be releasing the hatchery raised tiger trout in May. All the stockers will be 8-10"+. I can also tell you that I caught this trout in a body of water that (to my knowledge) has not been stocked in a long time. I plan to call AZGFD tomorrow to get their input.

Keep the books coming, I'm interested in growing my collection! I'd be interested in the Dale Lee book too.

Hate to see it. Cabelas is way better than Bass Pro, well worth the drive for us on the east side. Better selection, catalog and website.
