Agreed. If you haven’t been hit by now (based on the past) you are out of luck. Only hits left will be those next in line for rejected credit cards.

You didn’t answer the question....
-
I’m sure this will go nowhere but answer me this one question. Do you think G&F set up the youth tag sign-over so that people could game the system?
-
I’m in!! Time to hop on that opportunity train! Actually no thanks Id rather have my integrity and sleep better at night and remember what’s actually important in life. I’ll also teach my children about ethics and character and doing what’s right even though nobody will get you in trouble.
-
Impressive, I’ve never thought of being this dishonest, but the guy has a point. Next year I’m definitely putting both my wife’s parents as well as my parents into into the draw. Heck I’ve got a couple of step-grandparents as well. This will help our odds tremendously!! Thanks for the tidbit.

Hey guys, I can’t remember but I thought in past years card hits would happen for a few days. Am I remembering right?

Pressure is off flatlander. We have a new person to kick in the nuts! Mob rule. Take him to the square!

That's why you wait till the results actually come out. Don't worry I'll start the. " super duper for reals official elk results thread 2014 " once the results are out.

It can't be the 20% max point holders because Workman already posted that he got drawn back to back years. I guess on second thought that makes sense. They could just "bump up"the next person if there is a need. One thing I do know for sure is that this website will be inundated with folks posting once g&f "really" starts hitting cards
-
I would venture to guess that you lucky few are bonus pool winners due to the fact that they would have to verify this before they could move on to the random draw. In that if they found a discrepancy with the credit card they would have to verify in that 48 hours. Anyone concur?.

Yes app fee up front and then the remainder. So for a resident $13 upfront and then $135. For a total of $148.

look like montecs at a glance. He's wearing a g5 hat too.

Whoops didn't see Coues79's reply

I would almost guarantee it's not today or even early this week. They haven't even ran the draw yet. People were getting called Friday afternoon asking what units they wanted to put in for due to the application fiasco on the deadline date
-
Yep. Brother in law got called due to a fiasco from the ORIGINAL deadline. Somebody else mentioned this but while filling out the application it glitched out and said that he couldn't fill out a duplicate app. Who knows how long it could take to reach all those folks.

11M - 1 15%11M - 2 18% 8 - 6% 23N Archery - 4%10 Rifle - 1% Hello, I always thought I was fairly attuned to reading the bonus reports, but it looks like you may have a super groovy method of figuring the odds. Can I ask you what numbers you used for the gentlemen asking about the unit 8 archery hunt odds. Are you taking the total bonus points in the pool and figuring what percentage of that pool each hunters points comprise, then calculating that percentage based on the available tags? Didn't do the math but 6% draw seems harsh in my mind when every bp group having two points or greater drew 10% at a minimum Thanks Ps. As I am just jumping into this discussion I am sure you have already talked about all this. You can just refer me to THAT post if you like.

So here is my question... And I think their is some miss-information out there on this. Most of us know that if you buy a lifetime license and end up moving out of state you are stil able to use your license albeit you have to pay the non-resident fees. My question is ... If you move out of state do you get lumped into the nonresident pool and are you subject to the 10% cap or do they keep you in the resident pool? I thought that you were put in the non res pool but when I was looking into it a bit I came across this. Excerpt from A.R.S. 17.335.01 G. Lifetime licenses and trout stamps remain valid if the licensee subsequently resides outside this state, but the licensee must pay the nonresident fee to purchase any additional stamps, permits and tags required to hunt and fish in this state. LIMITS SET by the commission on issuing nonresident stamps, permits or tags DO NOT APPLY to stamps, permits or tags sold to a lifetime licensee. Thanks guys and good luck on the upcoming draw

Lifetime license question for you guys.
RoughCut replied to RoughCut's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I do have one and paid $560 for it. I moved out of state two years ago and have been putting in based on being capped as a non res. so I am pleasantly surprised to know that I am eligible for the random draw as well. Thanks again fellas -
Lifetime license question for you guys.

Thanks for the help guys. I guess that answers that. -
As far as I understand it they first will go through the entire draw. Then charge the cc's appropriately. If a credit card fails that person will be bumped and the line will slide forward. The newly charged people will be the ones added in to "the back of the line." If you were one of the "late cc hits" you most likely slid into one of your last choices.

March 29 was the first CC hits.

Hey guys, I have been on several archery elk hunts over the years but just recently started taking it a little more serious and hunting harder. I was extremely frustrated as after hunting hard for nine days straights I connected with a Fantastic 370+ bull. I hit him just behind the shoulder at 26 yards. 125 gr Ramcat, full penetration, found my arrow covered from tip to knock with blood. I hit him late in the eveneing and I waited till the next morning before persuing him. Found a great blood trail for about 70 yards. Got to a spot where it looked like he stood for a bit as there was a pretty good size pool of blood. Here comes the the awesome part..... not a drop .... in any direction after that. I was on hands and knees for several hours after that trying to find ANYTHING. Finally went for help and got two others. we fanned out in every conceivable direction for at least a 1/4 mile and found nothing. Spent the entire day looking. Is this just plain bad luck or just how it goes? Maybe some of you know that sick feeling you get when you lose and animal. Maybe this is just part of archery elk, but it seems that I never really hear stories like this. Maybe if it was bad arrow placement but never when it was a perfect vital shot. Anybody hav any advice, input? Still licking my wounds and feel just as bad as I did that day. Thanks guys.

Hunters’ passion for draw results overwhelms website; results now available
RoughCut replied to Viper's topic in Elk Hunting
This cracks me up too. I am with you guys it seems truly insane that they didn't anticipate this. I don't see why they insist upon reinventing the wheel. There are MANY phenomenally functioning online systems in other states. Adopting one of those couldn't take more than a month, yet here we are spending tens of thousands of dollars contracting a company that obviously does not have a clue about the demand that has been there for results season. I am sure and hope there is a good reason that they are doing it this excruciating way. -
I always thought Colorado's system was a bit kooky until I became a resident here. Now I truely think it's amazing. It's a true preference point system. Whoever has the most gets the tag. Makes planning and clearing your schedule a bit nicer as well. They also have a hybrid for high demand hunts that gives those with less than max points a chance. Pretty cool. Should az change over? Absolutely not. I would rather have a chance to get drawn every year and be disappointed than know for a fact that I was going to have to wait 15 years for a tag. How miserable would that be. Yeah,If you are the type that likes those once every 15 years tags then might not be the best for you. There is so much elk opportunity here compared to AZ. Maybe only 3 units that are that high of demand. Like I said you still have a chance in those trophy units.
