I definitely agree!!!!! French tip nails with deer blood on her hands! MAN, you got a keeper for sure!!! Great story and a great ending on the hunt! Good job!!! -
I think I might have to agree with Tines on the bedded bull!?????? At any rate, it is a very nice bull indeed!!! Congrats!!!

Congrates on your first buck! Good job well done my friend!

I am DEFINATELY no expert by all means...but the first 2 bucks posted on this site said they went, if I am not mistaken, went 118" and 120 something inches. If that is in fact true, then I would have to say you buck is well within the 115-125" range!! But again, I no NOTHING at all about scouring these bucks without putting my own hands around them my self with a tape measure! But to ME, the score doesn't carry much significance...it's the hunt it's self, with the hunter feeling good about his own harvest! That's what counts!!!

All I can say is...JESUS CHRIST MAN!! Outsatanding, outstanding sir!!!!
-
Im getting a beer with him right now, and I'll ask him...but I am POSITIVE he is no more than a buck ten!!!! I heard the story from him that night about your elk COUES, congrats to you on your bull.

New to website, hunting 33/37B in January with son

I am also gonna have to say bring the call! For the past 4 years I have used the call after one of us in our group takes a shot, and every time they all come running back and jump around like crazy, allowing for the next person to take a shot. Last year I took three 5yrd shots (and missed , but lets not talk about that! ) got on the call and the whole herd comes back. But becareful, my brother had to jump over one that was running right at him! If there are others in your group, make sure the are ready to shoot when someone gets on the call. Everything will happen real fast, and the pigs don't stay in one spot long, and a second or two then they change positions to get a better view at "what" is causeing a member of the herd hop and hollar!! We use the famous J-13 call as well. Even if you don't use that particular call, check out javilinahunter.com and read everything he says on there. He talks about why, when, and how to call and has sound lessons as well. Also, he talks about how to hunt in different areas for these little guys! Well worth your time to check out! Here is mine and my brothers from last year. Again, my brother spotted the herd so after we made our stalk, he got first shot and then got on the call, allowing me to take mine at 10yrds. -
Congrats guys!

Leaving deer attractant out
bearbait replied to greekassassin's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
It is my understanding that you CAN bait, ie: salt, minerals, seed, plants, water even. But you CAN NOT bait when hunting bears, nor can you shoot a bear over a baited area. But it is perfectly fine to hunt deer, elk, turkeys, pigs, etc. over bait. Just not bears. -
OMG!!! Great job!!
-
Nice buck! Now that you've taged out, want to tell me where it was??
-
Just living the dream! Congrates!!

congrats!

Redbeard- I had mixed feelings about if you were attacking Randy or even if you were just a pompous a$$!!! I have read each post on this thread. But after reading you last post, I believe you made your self as clear as possible (I Hope! ), and I now believe you are NOT attacking anyone. Although it kind of sounded like it in the beginning, and reading the other posts, others thought so too. I think, no, I HOPE, everyone will understand what you are trying to say after reading your last post. Good job on your arguments and not backing down from anyone! This was a very nice topic, even with all the bashing on you and anyone else! I my self do use radios to keep in contact with my buddy or who ever I am with. It is a safety thing, and I think everyone should have a radio with them and who ever they are with for safety reasons, like breaking your leg, etc. But I have never tried using them in conjunction with trying to TAKE game. I didn't even know that was not allowed if you want to put your game in a book. Not that I need to know that because I probably won't ever reach the mark!! Again, I think your last post cleared up A LOT!!! Thank you.
