When you first set it up, it should have found your name in the system and asked if you wanted to link it.
-
Congrats, have a fun hunt.

Possibly you didn't link your account, or you are one of over a thousand that have multiple accounts that they have to manually link every year. They have talked about the issue multiple times leading up to the deployment of the Portal. Shouldn't be any problem. If you call they should be able to link everything up and get your history.

I have 7 entries, the last being 2013 when I drew. 2014 I applied points only and it does not show. 2015 I applied for hunts, did not draw, and it does not show.

They can run all the charges in a single day if they choose to. In years prior to 2014, they had bounced cards to backfill after the initial draw. Starting in 2014 they call you for card problems (thank you amber) but still backfill for other rejection codes.

If everybody that waited "x" number of years got a guaranteed tag, there wouldn't be any game left to hunt. You have a weighted advantage with Bonus Points, that's as good as it's going to get.

I'd rather see an appreciative kid get a tag then a whining adult that thinks he's entitled to it.

Good luck Swamp, have a fun hunt.

If you only want to draw a single unit, use it as your 1st choice and don't put down a 2nd. That way, if you don't draw it in the Bonus Pass, you can't draw a 2nd choice in that pass. Then, in the 1-2 Pass you'll have multiple chances at a low draw number, based on your points, to help you draw that hunt code in the 1-2 Pass, again, without the chance to end up with a 2nd choice hunt you didn't want. The downside is you only have one hunt code, limiting your opportunity to draw.

I have heard IT is working to make sure people get notified of an impending invalid license. Top notch crew down there.

Arizona Elk and Antelope New Scoring Method

400 Bull for me too. Thanks -
bought my license last year on Jan 1st... used same license for elk draw deer draw and spring javi. drew a javi tag with my license that won't be valid (but was valid thru draw cycle) and bought my current license december 31 s tish that's all 3 draw cycles. James You could do the same thing if bought any day in the year. The difference between the 365 and previous license is the customer can now choose a more opportune time to purchase. The guys trying to apply for the same species for two years on one license have no leeway and no financial benefit unless it's for points.

The ONLY way you can use one license for two app periods is if you bought your license on Feb 11 last year, or, if starting this year, buying on Feb 10. The only financial benefit is if you are applying "points only", as you need a valid license to hunt. You can buy a 2015 license with a current starting date, regardless of the 2014 ending date, and the system will use the 2015 license from what I have been told. The one "flaw" if there is one, is that the system doesn't notify the applicant that their license will expire prior to the draw close. As Creed mentioned, some unhappy campers come draw results day. Also, the draw system should run flawlessly this year with updated code and servers that have been tested extensively.

The new draw report will break out the info you are asking. In essence, it will be the Bonus Pass report we currently see, with resident/non resident split out so we can see how many drew in each point pool. The dept does have a Bonus Pass report that splits resident and NR, how many drew, by choice, by hunt number, ( but NOT by point total ) that requires a public info request as stated above. It's relevance is to determine how many NR tags dropped to the 1-2 Pass round. Units 1, 3a, 5a, 7's, 8, 9, 10, 23, and 27 all filled in the early archery Bonus Pass in the 2014 draw. If you are applying to a different hunt, pm me the hunt number and I'll pass along the number of NR tags that could be drawn in the 1-2 Pass. Huntin Fool also gets this report and passes the info to it's readers if you have access to the publication. Be mindful that the data is for 2014 and that the 2015 applicant numbers may not mirror 2014.

Sewn offshore, same as your other clothes.

you SHOOT it That tends to help you see what size groups you're getting out there too. Based on what I see at the range, not many have any business shooting at 200 let alone 500. 1" per 100 yards of distance is the max 5 shot group size I would accept. That would be 5" @ 500.

You'll have more resident tags in the bonus pass in 2016. That might put you over the top for a unit you really want, or your odds might sink if people come out of the shadows to cash in.

AGFD news What would you think of a new online club for hunters?
wapitibob replied to AGFD News's topic in News from Arizona Game and Fish Dept.
Tag surrender limited to single applicants and passed to the next in line effects only 2 people. The guy that surrendered it and the guy receiving it. I see nothing wrong with it provided those conditions are met. -

They've patched the old code for a long time and aren't patching it anymore. The new code was never intended to "improve your odds". Updated draw stats are on the agenda but not till the new stuff is done. -

I'm in favor of tag surrender and point retention, for individual applicants only. Anybody that drew as part of a group should not have the option otherwise I could sell my 20 point app to a group to boost them up every year. Re issue should be next in line not the guy that paid for gold club membership, that's just wrong. -

A 5 minute call to the dept would answer any questions a person had, but that takes more effort than most are willing to do. -
When they pull the party leaders number and look to fill the tags, there will have to be a tag for the NR in your group or they'll toss you all out.
