Back Country is great as others have said. But if you are using it on a Thunderbolt phone it is not so good.

Did what I needed to do but it is a sad day at my house right now. Feels like I just lost a member of the family. First person to come and look at the Jeep bought it.

Don't trust the looks of the tires.... Check the DOT date on them and if they are 5 years or older then replace them anyways. Trailers tend to not get pulled enough causing the tires to seperate from sitting and creating flat spots. Tires need rolled often to move the oils around inside the tire compound, this keeps them softer and lasting longer. If you want to save your trailer battery then carry a small propane heater to run at night time......also a CO, fire, and propane detector for when you are sleeping. 12 hours glow sticks work good for night time lighting if needed without waking up everybody in the trailer by hitting the light switch. Also saves the battery. Spare water pump.......doubles as a pump to pump into the trailer from spare bottles of water. Holding bottles up and having to pour them into the trailer is hard on your back, the spare pump saves this. It also sucks having water in the tanks but your pump goes out and you can't use it because you don't have a spare. Check your trailer water tank to make sure it has a shut off valve at the tank so you can replace your pump if needed without loosing all your water. Always check where you set up the trailer for dead trees above you that may fall in the wind. Wood blocks for leveling the trailer when setting up camp. That's just a little bit of my .02 from things I have had happen in years past when pulling my 5'er. Good luck and have a great hunt. BTW nice find on the trailer for the price.

DUCT TAPE!! It is cheap and works better than mole skin. I use it when I ref 4 or 5 soccer games in one day and it keeps the blisters at bay. Learned this trick from another soccer ref and it works. BTW your foot looks like it hurt like heck to walk on!

Have never used the SOS function but have used the pre-set buttons for needing non emergency help at my location when the Jeep broke down in the outback. Worked great, but you need to set up your pre-set's and talk with the people before the trip so they will know most likely why you hit the non SOS button.
-
With the Spot that is not likely to happen, you have to remove the guard before hitting SOS button. I know over the years I have beat the crud out of mine in the backpack, Jeep or hanging on my person and have never had that happen.
-
Run the numbers if you have the connection to find the owner. Kudos to you in your efforts.
-
Amanda correct me if I'm wrong as I have also been using the spot for some years now. It is my understanding that you do not have to pay any annual service to still use only the SOS rescue service as it is free with the stand alone unit. If you want texting or additional pre-set messgages then yes you have to at least buy the minimum service.
-
X2 on the Spot. There are a ton of other uses with it if you pay for the service on top of the free rescue notification service. I don't leave the house without mine when I'm headed out into the outdoors.

I don't have a problem to a point with that Lance. But is the forest circus going to provide a means to help my uncle get game out of the field when he can't walk with a pack from war injuries but he still enjoys a good hunt. How is he to get game out of the field?
-
Awesome and congrats. There is nothing like the love between a father and his daughters!! You are truely blessed to have a daughter in your life.

I run this same set up on my 5'er and that is a great price....should sell fast.

Always late and never has time to help scout for the hunt but is always willing to hunt the areas I have spent time and money on to scout. But darn it he is a great friend so we still hunt togather. -
I'm at my heaviest weight I have ever been in my life 239 pounds 6 feet tall. I have found it extremely hard to lose the weight the older I get. I still consider myself fitter than most 49 year olds or at least more willing to get in over my head in physical activity than most. Now with that said it sux at times trying to do what I want to do dealing with being out of shape and past injuries. Although I know the change needs to come from me on how much I eat, what I eat, and how much I exercise. Stay with it Vegasjeep and keep up the hard work. If you, me, or any other person on here is sincere in losing the weight it will come with dedication and hard work. FirstCoueswas80....... careful with that diet soda, I spent 8 days in the hospital in 2006 partly from drinking diet soda. Water, Water, or Ice tea is best.
