  1. I just got my 22-250 die set and reloaded on a friends press until I get my own. I lubed my brass but I could never get the shell holder to touch the die. It seemed it was always catching at the very base of the brass. I set my die by screwing it down until it touched the full extended shell holder, then backed off the shell holder and dropped the die by 1 quarter turn. My Federal brass wouldn't set as much as my Winchester brass so I threw the federal brass out. The Winchester brass I could just barely see daylight through the shell holder and die. Is there a break in for dies, or is it something else? I am using the RBS lube pad to lube the brass. I can't think of anything else. I backed off the rod that ejects the primer. Is it possible I did not back it off far enough?

    22-250 brass

Thanks, sometimes it seems the brass fits tight in the chamber. If I use the dial caliper and measure the bottom of the brass I am consistently close to 3/100 larger than factory loads. I will try again next time I reload but I think I am going to look into getting my own press.

You would be lookin at close to $600 out the door for a brand new XD after taxes plus all the paperwork that was already mentioned. I sold mine and wish I still had it. I think $450 for an almost new one is a fair price. I see them used for 450 before taxes and paperwork at Murphys. What kind of trouble would I be in if I sold it to a felon and didn't know it?

That was from the plastic holster I had for it. Kind of like the tactical holster. I noticed the wear, took it back and got the uncle mike's holster instead. I like the Uncle Mike's because it holds the extra clip and easily attaches to my belt but doesn't move. I also feel the XD is more secure in it.

I would like to think of this one as...Good as new...and I'm really interested in a trade. I saw a guy walk into Murphys the other day with the gun I want and sell it for $300. I should have pulled him aside and offered a trade or just buy the thing for $350; I guess thats my loss. Besides if I sell it so close to hunting season I might not have a side arm durring my hunt. I would prefer to have the pistol since I am so close to the boarder and in Mt. Lion country. Thanks for the positive feedback though...And I mean shoot the XD and the S&W. If anyone knows anyone that might be interested in the trade let me know.

    WTB Reloading Set

I am looking to getting a reloading set. I figure if anyone out there has one stashed away in their garage and wants to cut me a deal on it, let me know. If it has a 22-250 die set that would be great.

    Kiabab Shutdown

I have seen the roads up there but never crossed paths with an ATV. Every time I go up its around christmas, and I just go and glass. I think that is some of the best country up there. I would hate to see it come to what some of you are talking about.
