    brnton eterna 15x51

Has anyone compared these to the brunton echo 15x63's? Are the echos any better glass? For about the same price with larger objective lens, the echos might be a better deal. Ive been eyeballing these two sets of glass for awhile now and im glad you brought the subject up.

    Best photo bait?

DEER COCAINE!!! Deer around here dig and dig and dig and dig and dig for that stuff. Get it out now so the monsoons can pound the stuff into the soil for you. It takes deer awhile to find it so be patient. I sometimes throw out a flake of alfalfa with the stuff just to let em know its there. Even though they wont eat the deer caine 'til it soaks into the soil they seem to come back if i throw a flake of alfalfa with it when i first put it out. creed

    headless cows and siamese twins

caught this herd of headless cattle cruising the hills last summer. Might be a new unheard of species. Probably migrated from down south somewhere. The weird thing is they produce offspring with two heads. And they keep the deer away from the area til night time.

    What do i get her

I need some help guys! Theres been plenty of talk about new bows and what bows the biggest and the smallest and fastest and smoothest and ugliest and prettiest. So i feel pretty good about what new bow i should buy for myself when the time comes, but until then i need to get my mom a new bow. She works so hard at putting an arrow in a deer, but she just hasnt made it happen. Shes had so many close calls its crazy, and i believe a new bow would really boost her confidence. Shes not a power-lifter and her arms are far from long so she needs a bow that shoots fast yet smooth and accurate. What type of set up should i surprise her with? thanks guys, creed

Ward's Outfitters Pictures Of live deer

Thanks steven. I would really like to see that video if at all possible. And chances are its the same buck, considering you filmed it in the same canyon i shot it in.

    '09 buck

Ive waited what feels like forever to get out and hunt for myself. It feels so good to have everything come together. I will shoot rage broadheads for the rest of my life without a doubt. The damage they do is unbelievable. It may be hard to believe but i rattled this deer in to 35 yards. Its such a rush to have a deer this big so close to you. After a few glances looking for the two deer responsible for making all the noise and not finding any, it was apparent that he wasnt going to stick around for too long. I took the only shot he was gonna give me, which was dead in the chest, with him looking right at me. He ran about 100 yards and piled up in the creek below. He grosses 111 1/8. i had trouble getting any real good pics to load so i gave you what i could. The second rack is my archery deer from last year. Thanks for looking. creed

Geeeez! You seem to really be getting it done. You should consider putting together a coues calendar. I would buy one for sure. Some of those bucks are insane.

    Her First Deer!!!

That's awesome to see. Definitely an accomplishment. I wish my mom could connect. She puts so much effort into making it happen and shes had some close calls but still no cigar. Maybe i should quit trying to give her advice.

the quail hunting's great. I don't have a dog so runnin and gunnin is about the only kind of quail hunting i get to do, but i see plenty. the dove hunting isnt too bad either if you can get permission from one of the farmers, which just happens to be my gf's dad.
  13. What do you guys think this buck is gonna score hes gotta decent frame but short tines nice eyeguards tho How many inches of growing do you think he has left? I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago
  14. Do you guys have any techniques for scoring deer in the field...especially in high pressure, quick decision situations? What works best for ya guys? I expect to get tons of replies considering all the "professionals" that cruise this forum looking to give out their secrets any chance that they get. creed
  15. creed_az_88

    what is he gonna score

What about the bottom buck? He was a long ways off so the picture clarity is bad. He was about 13 inches wide and he was very symmetrical. 2 1/2 inch eyeguards. I wish i woulda gotten pictures of some of the bigger bucks i saw the same weekend.

    About time

Well i finally put the archery tag on a set of horns. I am very pleased. sorry , poor picture quality, all i had was my cell phone. The ol' alpine bow had no problem sending an arrow through both of this guys shoulder blades. He ran about 30 yards from where i shot him. I stalked into about 60 yards from him and about 6 other deer, two being nice bucks, and held tight. It wasn't long before he chased a doe right to me. 30 yard shot; i couldn't have been more confident. Not the monster everybody dreams about but i couldn't be any happier. He scored 87 and 3/8.[attachmen t=6472:0121081717.jpg] creed

    2007 Archery Coues.

Definitely a great buck. The rut isn't very far off for many of the deer that i've been seeing and by the looks of that guy's neck it definitely isn't too far off for him either. CONGRATS. creed
  24. Well i finally drew the december tag that I've been waiting for. Plenty of preseason scouting and preperation definitely paid off. We went 3 for 3. A buddy of mine shot his first deer on opening day. With only a limited time to hunt due to work, my uncle shot this buck after passing up quite a few smaller bucks. I shot this buck on the 30th after shooting at and missing a much larger buck the same day he shot his buck. I have to admit I am exhausted but i thank my uncle for sticking in there with me on his days off after tagging his buck. Hope you enjoy... Havent put the tape to any of them yet but what would you say the two larger bucks score?

    The Rut

saw a couple of rubs and saw a nice split eyeguard 3 by 4 with two does. He wasn't doing any chasing or lip curling but his neck was huge. He ended up bedding with the does and we chose not to shoot. (Rifle tag)
