I bought into the wool idea and have a fair amount of wool garments. I wear them alot but also have alot of synthetic stuff and I find myself wearing the wool stuff less and less unless I'm gonna be wearing it for days on end and the temperatures don't get too high. For three days or less I think I prefer synthetics. I wear wool socks alot too but I feel like after one day in then they kind of stiffen up a bit and just aren't as comfortable to me as synthetic socks on steep grades. Kuiu makes some really thin wool base layers and those are about the only wool base layers I can handle for most of the year. I do enjoy my wool garments from late November through January though. Mid November and earlier is synthetics for me.

7/10" at my house. People in nothern Cochise county got over an inch. Does anybody else think that early germination of weed and grass seeds could be a bad thing? Like seeds get wet, germinate, start to grow, and then die with the 2-3 weeks of no more rain. Or is that a non-concern since most grasses are already rooted and in place but just dormant?

I started hooking my bait through the nose and have had less missed fish that way. Flatheads prefer to eat fish face first from what I've seen but I am no pro. Flatheads are hands down my favorite fish in AZ though.

Didn't crash for me. Voted 5-0 against banning trail cameras anywhere in the state. Live action cameras still gonna be banned.

Saw two bucks yesterday that had both dropped and each had about an inch of regrowth. Border unit.

I would put in for one of the December rifle mule deer hunts south of the ditch and go and scout each December until you draw it. I'd have to look again but I think you're pretty close to drawing unit 27 December mule deer. Don't draw this year, then go and scout and find out what the deer are doing this time of year. I don't think the genetics are as good as the 12's or 13's but you have the potential to kill a good deer still and have a good, long hunt.

I went out a few days ago and saw 8 bucks. All bucks were still packing. Some bucks are starting to drop now, but lots of the little bucks won't drop until June. This is down south. May be a little earlier up north.

What office do you guys call to deal with your portal problems?

If he goes second choice whitetail make sure it's a December tag in a unit that requires more than 5 points otherwise he'll have zero chance at the strip tag even if it's his first choice since 5 points will guarantee him pretty much any Oct or November whitetail tag down south.
