I can see how the Mustangs can hold a few big bucks due to the tough terrain. Is there ever any coues in the flats surrounding the Mustangs?

My family and I drew 5 tags for the late Nov early Dec hunt. First time for all of us in unit 35a. Done some scouting around the Mustangs and haven't found jack yet only 2 flat tops. Looks like some hard hunting in the Mustangs very steep and rocky and if you ever found one it looks like it would be tough to get a close shot. I'm going to scout in there a few more times but I don't think I'm going to be hunting there even if I found a 100 inch buck in there. Also been around Car and Ash didn't find much this is where I'm going to concentrate most of my scouting hopefully I can get some located before the hunt starts. Unfortunately by the time my hunt rolls around any bucks that I find might be shot up by then. Good Luck.

I thought $600 was high. Maybe he just told me he paid $600 to make it sound like he was giving me more. Either way I think I'm going to give it back. Looks like the same bull to me. The fronts look almost identical and everything else is pretty close but look at it thirds. Looks like his 3rds switched beam positions between the 2 years look how high up it is on his right side in 06. It also looks like there may be a little nub just below his 3rd on the left side in the 06 pic in about the same place the kicker is located in 08 except on the other side.

In that case can I be your wife too Becker? In all seriousness awesome job way to represent the ladies and all other bow hunters. That's going to be a tough one to top even with a rifle but from her track record I wouldn't put it pass her. Thanks for sharing.

Well I don't think leaving signs is such a good idea anymore after reading this. Never knew it was against the law. Just figured if you could leave all your materials used for building the blind you should be able to leave a small piece of paper also. What about all the paper plate signs I see every hunting season on trees and stop signs that say so and so's camp this way. Could someone get a ticket for putting one of these up?

I for one think leaving a sign is a good idea for the most part as long as it is done as a heads up to others that someone is planning one hunting that spot. Knowing someone is planning on hunting a spot can be good for many reasons. If the spot isn't that good you could just find another and not even mess with it or if the spot is a kick A location and you really want to hunt it you now know you need to get there earlier than the other guy if I want to hunt it. Or like someone stated earlier if a phone number is left you could always call the person and work out times to use it so there isn't any conflict come opening day. As long as people aren't staking their claim on spots I see nothing wrong with leaving a sign as long as people remember it's FIRST COME FIRST SERVE there shouldn't be any problems.

Randy is a STUD of a hunter and he works his butt off all year to keep his hunting edge. As far as the books I really don't care about the books heck I've never even looked at them. But I'm not a trophy hunter I hunt for fun and just to get outdoors. If I had alot of time and money to put into hunting I might change my mind about trophy hunting but it's just too time consuming for me to be successful at it. I barely have enough time to go out and shoot the first buck I see.

Wow I can't imagine someone doing that just for dropping the F-Bomb. Now I can see if he was an anti hunter and found out you were a hunter from your phone conversation. Now I can see an anti doing something like. Those antis are WACKO JACKO! But just for cursing infront of him its hard to believe someone would even think about what He did just for that. Maybe you didn't see the sign on his door that said NO CURSING in this office or all accounts will be frozen for 5-7 business days.

After reading through this thread and realizing how many hunter are dippers I came up with a question for all you guys. Does the stuff smell at all after you spit it out? Just wonder if game could get wind of the stuff. If so imagine how many times you spit and in how many different places. If deer can smell the stuff wouldn't dippin be a disadvantage while hunting or do you guys spit in a air tight container or sorts? Just wondering?

Wow! That is a freak of a bull! Nothing against Moss but I sure hope one of his hunters don't get him. Moss and his crew has got enough giant bulls they need to let some Joe shmo get him but more than likely Mossback will end up getting him because they know how to get it done. It would sure suck to have a bull of this magnitude be know forever as the spider bull. He deserves a better name. Maybe something like The Big Nasty or Horn O Plenty anything but Spider Bull. If by any chance this bull makes it past hunting season. How much do you guys think his sheds would be worth?
