Shorthair Mix Pups to a good home
Sundevils79 posted a topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
My 3 year old shorthair decided to have a night on the town and ended up giving me a litter of pups father unknown. She is a great bird dog. Excellent hunter, retriever, pointer, and great family dog. She is very mild mannered for a shorthair and her pups are exhibiting the same qualities. The pups are already starting to retrieve and point a little. They definitely have the hunting bug as the chase all the birds, lizards, and cats around the house. If you are looking for a good family dog or hunting companion they are definitely what you want. I don't want any $$ just a good home. I have attached a flier with some pics I have 3 females and 1 male left. I am in Tucson but would be willing to drive a little. My number is 520-429-6113. Puppy_Flier2.pdf -
Chocolate chip OK? It was screwed right to the tree. When I got there it was hanging from the cable. Got 5 pictures before he tore it off But hey I have 540 pictures of the ground Been there already once this year.....luckily i got a couple of pics of the bandits before I got the ground pics

I have looked throught he Brunton's, Vortex, Pentax, and Minox. Honestly I was really impressed with the Brunton's and you are all right for $313 they would get me by until I can save up for some Leica's or Swaro's. Thanks for all the information. I haven't made a purchase yet but am definetly leaning toward to Brunton's. Does anyone know who might sell the Fuji's mention a couple posts ago in Tucson?

to all the guys with the gzone, how is battery life? Do you feel like you have to charge the thing every day or once a week, or what? I need a new phone...busted the hinge on my LG3200. Amanda I can usually go about 2 days on a charge. I use mine quite a bit though so depending on how much you use it may hamper the battery life.

I glass two in the pears and I got screwed up on one coming into the spring I had my stand on. One of those nice AZ thuderstorms rolled in about 3pm...the same time I wanted to get in my stand...so it delayed me till 4:30 and as I was walking into my stand I kicked up a bear about 150 yards from my set-up. Problem was he saw me about he same time I saw him and with a bow I was screwed. I'm going to give it a whirl again this weekend. I just hope it cools down between the dang flies and heat its a miserable sucker out there. As for glassing this will put you patience to the test. This unit give meaning to the "grey ghost" name of coues. They love the thick stuff and there is lots of it. Its tough right now because you have such a small window to find them in the opening with the heat.

I have hunted 27 my entire life and steadily watched the quality of deer hunting decline. I spent the past weekend up there bear hunting and I can honestly saw I spotted more bears than I did deer. Don't get me wrong there are quality deer in this unit but nothing like the past. The whitetail herd has also declined over the past couple of years. Here is a pic of the terrain i was in this past weekend.....awesome coues country. The southern half of the unit is very remote (wilderness) and very rough country. The northern half is mountain...but honestly the deer population is crap up there. Too many roads and therefore road hunters. I am mountain guy converted to a desert rat and I love hunting the lower elevations now. Take lots of water (it was a hot mother last weekend )and lots of patience because where the coues live in this unit is thicker than thick. Hope this helps.....Good Luck!

I have last years G zone and it's great....lets see here is a list of field tests I out it through.... 1) it spent the 3rd and 4th quarter of the ASU vs USC game in the bottom of 32 oz beer mug last year...mostly cause I was pissed but also to test it. 2) it spent about 2 hours in the bottom of a minnow bucket...was a good fishing day and lost track of it. 3) Drop it and ran it over with four-wheeler....no worries 4) I have dropped it and kick it more times than I can mention.... I usually only have a phone last about nine months and I am going on a year....it doesn't have all bells and whistles but it makes calls and take pics I highly recommend....good reception in remote areas as well.

Sundevils79 replied to Sundevils79's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I also know of a spot in the santa ritas that looks the same. This spot is loaded with bear and lion. Well its not in the Santa Ritas or Seneca Lake.....its in Arizona though....i like to call it the spot that I found and am going to kill a bear at next weekend... -
Here are some pics from one of my cams....would have been more but had a Yogi decided he didn't like it. The camera only lasted 6 days and here are some of the pics. Need to build a box to keep em out....can't wait 10 more days till opening season....think I might try for the cinnamon bear??? Didn't stay long enough to get any deer and with that lion it explains why I dint see as many this spring. Last thing I saw besides the ground for 40 pictures.....dang BEARS!!

Nice....I saw a pack or herd or family or group or whatever you call a bunch of them together this winter on the east slope of the catalinas. I stopped counting at 40. It was pretty impressive. Neat animals.

Looking for a new ML scope
Sundevils79 replied to Sundevils79's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
I think I am going to try the Omega. I tried the cheap bushnell on my first MK-85 and after about 3 shots in knocked the glass out of it. I have just a 4x Redfiled on it now but am looking to upgrade. Has anyone tried the TRADITIONS scopes? The silver series with the range finder reticle? -
I am looking to upgrade the glass on my .54 Cal Knight MK-85 for my deer hunt this fall. Any suggestions?

I call bravo sierra on the $600 ticket.....couple of problems with that story. 1) a month later there would probably be nothing left due to the scavengers ie. coyotes and buzzards. 2) I know that some WM can be anal but I am sure that the ticket was due to more than just rib meat i.e. they probably left the more than just rib meat. I have come across deer and elk kills where hunters take just the backstraps and hind quarters and for people that do that they deserve more than just a ticket. I'm not trying to bust balls but it seems that every time someone gets a ticket from the GF it's never because they did something wrong but rather because the GF was pissed off or "out to get me." As for the salt/mineral issue I would just pull the salt while you are hunting. Bears will use the licks just like a deer and in my mind could be considered using a substance to attract. Just my thoughts

THis is worse than one of those dumb game shows when they go to commercial just about the time someone is going to win the million bucks

Coues Deer Celebration 5!!!
Sundevils79 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
What a great video!!....very nicely done. I am new to the site but an AZ native and coues hunter. I can't wait for summer to be over and fall to get here. That video really got my blood pumping and made it hard to work the rest of the day. Jay -

Have you felt the trigger on the Triumph? It is extremly nice! Also, it has the advanced coating called "Weathershield", is lighter and it fits me like a glove. I sold quite a few of them when I worked at Sportsmans Warehouse. best one on the market but pricey...... www.ultimatefirearms.com
