I have Horn Hunter main beam XL and have backpacked in with 55 pounds with no problems. Will be going in with close to 70lbs (lots of water) this Sun-Thur. The pack is stuffed. I love my Horn Hunter, Full Curl will be my next pack. Thanks for the update!

I have horn hunter main beam XL. I use it as a day pack and 1 to 3 nights backpacking. It has been a great pack, can hold some weight and very comfortable. I also have a Cabeles frame pack for longer trips, its ok but not near as comfy.

I do think the season should be moved back a week. With that said my dad got a 2X2 yesterday and I am going out for 10 days starting tomorrow. I just want to hunt!

I freeze gallon jugs of water and freeze gatorade. Gatorade stays frozen longer. I put as much ice as they will hold the night before and in the morning on the way out drain water and top them off. Keep them in shade at all times. I am going on a 10 day hunt for coues next week and I hope to only have to make 1 trip for ice. 14 days on an elk hunt I am jealous. Wish I could get a tag again! Good luck on your hunt.
