Coues bucks in 6a, 4a, 4b, 3c 1, not a ton but personally have laid eyes on in everyone of those units

Whats 4a early rifle and archery resident?

I went out one day in 4b during the rut an saw over 50 cows and got one with a rifle and didnt use my points. Maybe that aint for everyone but it was just as fun for me!

there are otc cow hunts in northern 4b you could go out during the rut and smack one without burning points

Northern units bigger bucks are definetly scent checking does and running around, seen a couple being bred but still not full swing rut, was a frigid one today so that might kick things off. Most dirt tanks in the eastern az are holding little to no water, gonna be a dry one if it doesnt turn around

Yo everyone, been putting in a ton of time in 27 lately for late elk and coues deer, dont know the unit well for muleys at all but seen some decent ones in December running around during the rut. Spent a lot of time in the blue and down south. Just wondering what are your opinions on the october hunt? Anyone have experience? According to gohunt I have max points for last year, assuming they dont go up. I love everything mule deer. The country seems to be able to hide animals well even though the mule deer get pounded in August? Thoughts? Id be willing to share info or trade info as well as i do know it well for elk and coues deer all seasons. Just never seen to turn up big muleys.

yup, out of the 5 hunts total there are 1015 tags, at least there were last year. But which is also why Im putting in for the very first hunt, to scout and pattern them before the pressure moves in.

sorry I have 5 points and if you look at the bonus point report for 2023 every resident that put in with 5 points as their first choice drew the tag. Ill be packing in away from all the roads and its for the very first october tag which there are only 150 tags so there shouldnt be much pressure in such a big unit.

Im looking at draw odds and quality of units to kill a solid coues buck, nothing special just a good buck as it will be my first big game animal. Ive hunted a lot helping out outfitters and im capaple of glassing all day and hunting hard. I also have the best optics and equipment in the game. Im thinking about an early october unit 33 coues tag as i have 4 points and it is a guaranteed draw. Anyone hunt there? What is your opinion on the unit and quality?
