i hunted that country several time back in the '90s. i did not see any townsites but found the remains of the old butterfield trail. just sunbleached white rocks lined up on both sides on a line from st david to dragoon just south of the tracks. good luck! lee ps i spent alot of time during the '60s at grandparents house which was an AT & SF residence and is now at the skull valley railroad museum

Chuck is a piece of work all right. I've spent many hours in his wheelhouse and he's a top shelf fisherman and one tough cookie. The Legend has some history too. Previously the famous China Clipper(got my best bft over 100 on her 1992) and Shawn Trowbridge saved her after the hull split wide open off Colnett in 2006. He got the passengers off safely and brought her back to 'Dego for repairs. My only gripe is the stepped rail on the bow-if you are at color you can't see your fish which can get interesting. lee

this has come close to home. next door actually. I never saw it but neighbor says he hunted this buck blake killed and has lots of video. did the first measure on it. azgfd took his computers and then silence for 18 months. a straight shooter all day long. after the macho B/emil mccain deal i think azgfd has lost all sense of right and wrong and is capable of anything. i talked to blake 1 time many years ago about the horn biz, not a fan. lee

i miss the albacore too. the best meal in my life was in 2005 on the First String. the first two 25lb albacore caught on the troll(1 was mine) were donated to the galley. sashimi 20 minutes after it was caught is sumtin! lee
