in the past 3 months i have watched some just incredible non-commercial videos of coues hunting on youtube. local guys and gals, great commentary and some young people who can really SHOOT! good stuff-puts you right on the hill with them. CWT members especially. lee

10 BP and very little left in the tank for me. figuring 1) 3b early ML bull 2) 3b early archery bull(crossbow). the archery tag seems like a little better than 50% give or take from 2019 season. so unless i am a mile off on odds the app will go in-can you imagine wasting 10 BPs? i can always donate a tag if necessary. i've hunted the rut a lot as help but on my own tag? like 2002-could be fun. lee

this afternoon we had business at the navajo county complex and we just had to go into town for root beer floats. "see that street sign?" i asked my friend-a 40yr az resident-20 on the mtn. on the way back i asked kevin if he had ever heard of the bucket o blood or commodore perry owens. i almost gave up on "Commodore who's?" but i did have to make mention of a gila county murder, a saloon, a little house and a rifleman. lee

#14. i was blessed with family and mentors at a very young age who said the same thing. flip side-newbie helping on a hunt drives his new tundra down into hells half acre and back with no spare tire. lee ps a buddy and i were headed for 4b north and east toward witch well coyote hunting when the alternator seized and the belt caught fire at sunflower. cut the belt off, kicked some dirt on it and headed on up to payson auto parts. the buddy was spooked and made me take him home-i don't think he ever went hunting again.

rapid improvement occurring, knock wood. bitten on 11/27, admitted to hosp 12/1, home 12/5, at the worst i was packing 5 inches of 1/4" ribbon wick into the hole before dressings. photos were 12/23 pm and dr. said i was out of the woods and to use just ointment and a bandaid to keep clean. i doubt this is really over. lee

just prior to thanksgiving snows i had taken my heavy winter comforter and an old sleeping bag from the closet and thew them over the carport clothesline to air out. 48hrs after bringing them back in things started going downhill. young professional neighbor with 2 preteens and i have been struggling with spiders for years now. no food sources found but outreageous numbers of spiders. have moved woodpiles and demolished sheds, sprayed extensively ourselves and had exterminators in. had to happen i guess. lee Research conducted at Oklahoma State and Texas A&M Universities has confirmed that brown recluse spiders are difficult to kill with most insecticides.
