thoughts while sittin' on my back porch in show low.... turns out this old man is 'essential associate'. always knew i would work until i drop. i have friends who are debilitated and very high risk,,,while i am 'essential' so i cannot see them for quite some time. cannot now follow through on commitments to them. maybe a 'slow boat from china' would have been a better idea than intercontinental non-stop jet travel. but i have never believed in isolationism. probably a poor idea but i will start a survey re how bad is bad lee

reply from Rick Law who owns the store at big lake: We recieved another foot if snow, this week, on top of what we already had. It looks like it's going to be at least 2 more weeks before roads will be clear enough to pass.

we well know how things can change year to year-and now overnight crap!-but for the last 6-8 years show low area lakes have only received 1 or 2 stockings per year in the spring. and all trophy trout 2 pounds and up so as not to dissapear into pike and walleye bellies. however i just noticed that spring summer stocking schedule has been removed from azgfd website. lee ps thats ok sense it looks like lots of 3+lb largemouth coming out of roosevelt and a good many pb bronzebacks will come out of apach.

yes but i'm not waiting for it. cassie won't be a struggling middle aged single mom-the show casts a kararte kicking young black chick as cassie and ryan phillipe as the lizard king. i hate hollywood. lee good to see you back-i have another friend locked down in a rehab facility in tucson that will not let him come home!

my parents and grandparents fished the verde canyon back in the 1940's when grandfather was a santa fe supervisor on the clarkdale spur. they would use a rr motorcar and take it off the tracks at max siding and bear siding. fished for bullheads and boneytail with cane poles in the photos. i was always going to ride the verde canyon rr to see that part of the river but never got to. they fished big bluegill at del rio springs during the same time period. lee

The association said they have a meeting with the state health department on Monday afternoon. Until then, they're recommending the 1,800 assisted living homes in Arizona be on lockdown. No one in and no one out unless there is a serious medical emergency, and a doctor is needed. They also want residents to be in isolation at all times. Their biggest fear is what happened in Washington state when a nursing home was hit with a coronavirus outbreak. a friend was supposed to go home from one of these on saturday but they are totally locked down and "not allowed to leave and go home". i wonder if Outdoor Writer got home-he was also getting out saturday.

sunfish, smallish largemouth and some channel cats. mormon crossing dam is downstream from the bridge about a half mile and the remaining impoundment is full of trash and 3ft at the deepest. a lady friend in a kayak said the same things about the cliff areas under the bridge. good luck, lee

posted elsewhere by a local senior lady, a flyfisher and senior softball player.: "Schools are closing, children cannot keep from touching their faces or anything else around them. So my cousin and I go out to eat this afternoon at a restaurant and a large family group was there with FOUR young children. Done with eating out for now. Irresponsible parents."
