    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

Trent Once again Thank You very much for your help and support! The guys at the Outdoorsman had nothing but good things to say about you and they were kinda expecting me because of what you told them! So again thank for everything! I also got suckered into buying the 10X42 ELs aswell! Those things are amazing! Now another quick question for you guys? what about the eye piece? it looked like the 50x was able to pull in alot more of the light were as the 60X gave me longer range but was not as bright as the 50! Is this just me or is there something behind what i found? And it reminded me of being in a pawn shop with all those guys carrying pistols! lol is that a bad part of town or have they had some problems in the past? And Trent does Jay Scott ever blog on here? I would love to pick his brain abit! Wouild also love to meet him maybe take him out to lunch!

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

The guys brought out the TSN-883 the 88mm! It was the ones you guys told me about! Even the guys at the Outdoorsmans laughed at me when I said that they were supposed to be as good or better then the Swarovski! Even the guys at Bear Basin said the same thing They brought out all the top of the Line ones the new Ziess, Leica,Kowa, and Swarovski!!!! I'm telling you guys that they new what they were doing! I was about to focus on hikers on the hill, so i had plenty of things to study!

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

Wow guys i hate to say it but you all that thought the Kowa Spotter was as good or better than the Swarovski are smoking some of that funny stuff! i just got back from the Outdoorsmans and sat out on the patio with the guys for like 2 1/2hrs. The Swaro blow the Kowa out of the water! Not only was the Swaros clearer but they were more durable looking and feeling!! The kowa felt like glass if i were to drop those it would do some serious damage!! Even the non HD spotter was nicer! To be honest with you it was hard for me to find a difference between the HD and non HD spotter! I sat there looking at those hikers back there for hours hiking up those hills back there! Swarovski is seriously the way to go! Sorry I doubted you ohhhh Swaros!!!

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

I would really be interested in them but I really want the HD spotter because if I did buy that one it would bother me later when i thought about the difference! And since the spotter is being replaced by the insurance company, money really isnt an option. But thanks for looking out!

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

Well guys after talking with the guys at bear basin.com and from what I have read I made a decision! I have found that the Rugged casing, the light weight body and also Swarovski being Swarovski! I am going to stay loyal to them! After looking throu them you cant really tell a solid difference between the 2! The Swarovski spotter just looks and feels like a better put together product! Also I took into consideration if I ever had to selll them God forbid there is a bigger demand for Swarovski! I really hope to never have to sell these babies, but I had to think over every option. But like i said to me it just seemed tht Swarovski had the better product! So thanks a ton guys for al lof our support and advice

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

Like you all have said that second fine focus knob is amazing and I dont know what Swarovski is thinking not developing something like that! And like I said the more and more I read and the more I learn I am leaning towards Kowa! But everything that I owe is Swarovski an I very loyal to them and I feel like i am cheating on them just for considering another! LoL... I know it sounds dumb but you guys know how it is! Fact, Facts Facts!!! That is what i have to base my decision on!

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

So guys let me get this straight there is no difference in glass between the STS80mm and the STM80mm the only difference is the weight right? And that new scratch fog proof coating on the glass right? Because although money is not a problem i could save myself about 500 buck roughly by carrying around about 2 more ounces if i buy the STS instead of the STM?

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

As i said earlier thanks again you guys are amazing! But have the new swarovision made a huge difference because all the reviews i have seen have been for the 08 version! All the reviews say that the Kowa were the better glass because the finer focus knob but is the new swarovision made to answer the question between the 2? Because they had to have done something to warant the huge jump in price for the 2010 models.

Guy I really need to hear pros and cons for both everything I read online says the Kowa but what do you guys think do you agree with that?

    Is this a good deal?

seriously I owned the Minox 15x58s, they were my first big glass! But you have to realize how huge and heavy those things are! I agree that for your first pair the 10x50s would be great option and i think as you start to glass more and more it will be easier for you to find game! But have you seen the cabalas brand 10x50s my buddy got them and i was really impressed with the glass and the size they were about the size of the 10x42 slc if not smaller! And for the price you can"t beat it try them out and see if not what do you have to loss?

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

Again you guys don't disapoint! All solid info! Where is it exactly on cave creek? I am familiar with that area around Cave Creek and 101 near the Greenway and Cave Creek area. Can you guys give me cross roads? And also I was told it takes some getting used to with the angled scope? With the more I read and the more you all tell me about these scopes I am leaning towards the Kowa because fo the more fine adjustment knob but I also really like the big adjustment knob on the Swaros! I think really it is preference because really does it make a really big adjustment in the end not really and I am guessing when I set them next to each other there is going to be little or no way to really tell a difference. I think it will come down to what is more comfortable and what feels better in the hands and to be honest I may pack it but i may not I have my 15s that will be good enough when I pack into somewhere. Can you imagine the weight of the spotter,k my 15s, the 10x42s the 8x30 rangefinders and the tripod stable enough to handle the spotter plus knives and water and my bow or gun? ohh my I going to need a pack mule for all that! But please keep all the info coming in still all the stories and advice help me alot! Trent and all the others thanks for checking with the Outdoorsman for me that was above and beyond you all are freaking awesome thats why I come here with all my questions and concerns! Also there is a big diffenece in the 80mm hd spotter vs, the non hd spotter right because I have only checked them out indoors at the sportsmans and i think there is but i could be wrong plus like i said i love to take pics! Please guys keep the info coming! The Sportsmans was willing to take off 5% off my total purchase because I will be buying the 10x42s, the 8x30 rangefinders and the 15x56s and the Spotter (all Swarovski)with a tripod and the jim white head all at once do you think that Terry over at the Outdoorsman will do better if not match the 5 % that Sportsmans offered!

    Elk Scouting

Well this is how i see it! It does suck that you put all the time and effort in scouting and to have all that planning switch up on you but its always been that way every year! But you know what it gets you out of the house and gets you familiar with bulls that you want to look out for once the season starts right? I mean I am no great hunter but I will take a day in the hill vs. a day on the couch any day! To me the stresses in the world seem to disapear when i am in the hills chasing game or behind my binos! Keep your head up and stay positive good things happen to those who wait!

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

And i also know about the great deal with the older spotters but i really wanted the HD version I really like to take pixs of them in the natural areas! So not trying to be difficult but i have to be picky when it comes to this stuff and if price doesnt matter why shouldnt i right?.....Like i said you all have never given me bad advice yet! I trust you guys you are the best and the worst critics lol......

    Kowa Spotter VS. Swarovski Spotter

I understand what you guy are saying but only if i was able to take them out in the field and do a head to head would i be satisfied you guys know that the in the store conparison is tough! Also it wasnt just the glass i was wondering if Kowa waranty is just as good as the Swarovski warranty! I have the 15x56,10x42,and rangefinder all swarovski so i am very pleased with swarovski but i do wanna get the better glass! Honestly guy what would you do your honest opinion bc I live in the QC and cavecreek is far for the Outdoorsman!

    advice on binos

I would not really agree with the "cheaper ones theary" I am an honest believer in you get what you pay for and I took the advice of smoe people here along time ago and saved up and purchased the better glass rather then buy cheap! Because lets face it you buy cheap now you pay later! You most likly will get the better glass down the road! But I have the 15x56s Swaros and on a tripod and I love them! And have Ziess 10x42 around my neck but I didnt start that way, I first had the Nikons and they were a good glass for what I could afford at the time but dark when you compare them to Leicas or Swarovski, But all anyone can tell you hear that knows anything is go down and try them all out for yourself....
