Chase Christopher and I just released our latest little video. This one is his archery elk tag in the Gila in 2013. Lots and lots of rain. Just a few elk. But we were able to stay on it until the job was done. Hope you enjoy.

Looks like papilloma. Nasty. Nasty. Nasty.

I'm selling my nearly new, almost perfect condition Swarovski EL 12x50 binoculars. I used these on a total of 2 hunts this year, and absolutely love them. I have more optics than I need however, so these are gonna go. $2,400. Call or text me if you're interested. 480.215.3175

TTT. Thinking again that I can do without these. Let me know if you're interested. Price is firm.

The edge to edge on them isn't the best. I'd look at the Viper 12x50's for a few hundred more, better FOV, and much much better glass.

What is your favorite bow brand? - archery market research
JMP posted a topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Knowing this is very much the Ford vs. Chevy vs. Dodge debate, we're just trying to get an idea of which brand bows you prefer. We're not trying to stir a debate. Each brand is good. We're just sort of quantifying which most people like most and by what kind of margin. -
I spent a 10 days in Baja filming a desert bighorn sheep hunt for Gila Outdoor. It was an emotional ride for all involved that ended up with a beautiful ram down and a very happy hunter. I put this short film together to tell the story. It's called High & Low. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you all. I appreciate all of your comments. It was a hunt that really changed me, even as the guy just filming it. I'm now saving my pennies to hunt sheep someday. I realize just how hard Shane has worked, and how laser focused he's been for literally the last 15 years to be able to do this. And no animal quite captures, or represents that kind of dedication like the bighorn. That said, I do believe this is my year to draw the U27 Rocky tag . Hahaha. Thanks again.

The new Zeiss will retail at Gila Outdoor for $1500, that's a grand cheaper than the Swaros, and the glass is outstanding. I looked through them at SHOT. They're awesome. The Swaros are outstanding too, but not $1,000 better. The Zeiss start shipping to dealers in April. The Swaros pushed back until March, is what I'm told as of yesterday.

At nearly half the cost of the 12x50 EL, the Razors are hard to beat.
-
right. HD glass but no swarovision.
-
Awesome Keith. Those are great bucks!
-
wouldn't expect anything less from you Beau. Nice job man.

I just traded my Swaro 15x56 for these. Great glass. Outstanding FOV. $900 is a steal.

Awesome adventure. Thanks for sharing it.

We have it at Gila Outdoor. Takes 2-3 days from when you order it to when it can be picked up or shipped to an FFL. http://guns.gilaoutdoor.com/product.remington-700-sps-bolt-270-winchester-short-magnum-24-31-syn-stk-blued

Well said both of you. Thank you. Luke works his butt off every year to find big Coues deer, just like a lot of the guides in that part of the state. Jay and Chad run a PROFESSIONAL service, and do an outstanding job for their clients, which is why they keep booking big hunts. Broc is a standup guy who can outhunt 99% of the guys on this forum. I dare any of you to try to keep up with him on an Alaska Dall sheep hunt in the Brooks Range. It's not going to happen. Congrats again to Broc, Luke, and the rest of the guys at Mossback Arizona.

I'm selling my Swaro 15s. They're in very good condition, absolutely nothing wrong with the glass whatsoever. They've been kept in a pelican case and in the field bag at all times they aren't being used. They come with the field bag and lens covers, but you'll need to get the Outdoorsman's tripod adapter. $1600 Call or send me a text if you're interested. 480.215.3175

I bought this camera new in January and took it on two trips earlier this year. I bought it because of the 30X optical / 55X Enhanced zoom enables good images out to 500 yards. It's a good little camera, but I've decided to use my DSLR through a spotting scope instead. So I'd like to sell this one. I paid $350 for it, and I'm asking $250 now. Am pretty firm on the price. It's got 16GB of internal memory, and can record to SD card as well. Comes with an extra battery and a Lowepro camera bag. Give me a call or send me a text if you're interested. 480-215-3175

I've got an extra Promaster Tripod that I'm looking to sell. It's in good functioning condition but has scratches on it here and there. Also has the Manfrotto 7001HDV head with it. $300. Call or text 480.215.3175.

NEW TO FILMING and looking to get a nice camera...
JMP replied to CWpredator's topic in The Campfire
What I would do, is get two cameras. I'd look into a Sony handicam, or a Canon with a high power zoom (the 55x extended zoom isn't bad at all, the CA is noticeable but pixelation doesn't seem to be) that you can grab for $300-400. Then I'd look into a Canon Vixia HF G20 for about a grand. Then get a really good tripod with a fluid video head. At that price range you're sacrificing one feature for another. The high power zooms that let you get decent images at 4-500 yards can only cover very small image sensors. So your low-light performance, dynamic range, and color fidelity suffer. The cameras like the Vixia have larger image sensors which produce far superior HD images, but tend to limit you to a 10X zoom range and aren't much good past a hundred and fifty yards or so. Getting both kind of gives you the best of both worlds. -
I just finished editing the video of my 2013 Mexico hunt. I was happy to kill a super wide 112" buck with Borderland Adventures. Hope you enjoy the video (best watched in hi-def on Vimeo). https://vimeo.com/59329876

I shot this buck two weeks ago while hunting with Matt Woodward and Borderland Adventures. It was my first trip to Mexico. After seeing the way a Coues deer population can be (where the population isn't managed by a dismal buck to doe ratio), and passing over 100" deer like they were 80" bucks in Arizona, I'll be going back every year from now on. It was simply amazing to see. The buck is 21" wide and has 18" beams.
