Yes there is a difference. The non hd ones still rock. But if you are thinking about buying a non hd set. Don't look through the hds.

I have an older vx3. I sent back to leupold and had them install m1 turrets. Has never failed me. So far it has claimed coues at 266,584,620 and 702 yards. -
I agree. It was a tough hunt. Lots of beautiful country and the weather didn't help that first week.
