Do you have a drill press? Drilling a tapping generally isn't the hard part. Making sure your measurements and depths would be the more critical aspect of it.

Yes. Safety is my number one concern. I have hunted boarder units before but never back packed alone. If you decide to go that route just be careful and keep a sidearm. If you draw 36a or b. Let me know and I will try to point you in the right direction. Same goes for 33. -
