Rebuilding, that's funny. Years past BR jv was better than most varsity.

Nice buck Mike, how far was your shot?

Hard to tell without a side profile pic, and not a lot of curl. I'd still fling an arrow!

A buddy and I were antelope hunting in ten this past weekend when we were driving down an old two track road and I happened to look over and see a dead cow elk laying on the hillside, we had no idea what to think so we killed the truck and headed over to investigate, upon closer observation we noticed claw and bite marks all over her body, at that point we realized what had happened and we both took a step back and looked around knowing we were being watched... This cow elk had probably been dead for less then an hour, I'm talking warm joints, fresh blades of grass in her mouth, eyes still glossy, and you could see the struggle that took place in the freshly kicked up dirt! We couldn't believe it! I have only seen a fresh elk lion kill one other time so it must have been a huge cat! Being that I had a lion tag in my pocket I sat the kill till dark but nothing ever came in. I wish I would have stayed and got an arrow in him but antelope was my #1 priority. I killed my goat early Saturday morning and had not this kill been so far from civilization I would have sat it till he was dead, anyway that's my story and couldn't get pix because my phone was dead. That lion ate well!!

On what planet does a nine year old need to learn to shoot an Uzi?...
-
Its actually only the third fresh kill I have ever seen but one of the lions wasn't so lucky and I arrowed her at 46yds off a deer kill on the kaibab many years ago, very cool experience.

That's what we figured and unfortunately there are no trail cams allowed where we were.

Nice buck, congrats!

Just put a rough tape on him at 77" and some change and only a 1/4" difference in all his measurements, nearly perfectly symmetrical, couldn't be more happy!! -

What do you drive, I'll keep an eye out for ya? I'll be in a lifted forest green tundra with black wheels. -

Yup, can't wait! I'll be in 10, hopefully I don't need a boat lol! -
Sorry about that, but no he didn't but don't know if it was due to the warts or how awful the game processor was.

I killed a buck in 9 that had growths like that all over his face and body. Thought about taking him to g&f but I hunted my ace off for him and didn't want to get issued another tag. Worst tasting deer I ever killed! Its hard to tell but you can see one good size growth on his eye and a softball size one near his rear quarter you can't see.
-
That 11 pointer sure looks tasty!

I haven't hunted it since it turned to a draw hunt but I liked that the kaibab hunt always started after the general archery deer hunts in middle of September, half the bucks were already shined up, they had their beautiful fall coats and the rains seem to slow down that time of year. Mike I'd definetly check out parissawampits point if I was you, I've had great success on that point and always a ton of deer. Oh ya, make sure you buy your lion and archery turkey tags, good luck!

Where do you store your tag before hunting season?
