Congratulations on a couple of nice bucks!!!
-
I just bought one a few weeks ago after using JAmaro's to skin and cape my New Mexico mule deer. They are fantastic! The blades are so sharp it's scary! I can't wait to use mine in Mexico in a few weeks. For what it's worth I don't think this knife is meant to replace your everyday pocket knife or Leatherman. Seems to me that they work great for skinning and caping, but wouldn't be the best choice for everyday use.

Congratulations... It sounds like you had a great hunt!!!

Looks like you can see the high fence in the background above the shooters head in the third picture.

Yes it is wrong to mess with someone else's property. However, there is still no proof that the man in the picture did anything wrong. Show me a picture of him messing with the camera and I'll shut up. There is nothing wrong with checking out a tank at night, and usually when it gets dark people use flash lights. Lets give people the benefit of the doubt before we go and publicly smear their reputations in the mud.

Congratulations on your success!

I sure don't like it when my trail cameras get stolen or tampered with, but all I see in the pic is a guy walking by and getting his picture taken. He doesn't appear to be messin with your camera at all. Do you have pictures of him in the act of messing with it or are you just assuming that it was him? I've got a hundred pictures just like that one and they don't proove a thing. At this point I'm not sure where the problem is? The guy that got his picture taken while walking through the forrest, or the the guy that is doing the accusing without any proof? Please clarify...

You let your dogs $hit on the floor? Seriously, that's crazy. Glad no one got hurt and that everything is working out.

Kinda funny reading this post. It's like asking which is better Ford, Chevy, or Dodge? Of course everyone thinks theirs is the best set up in the universe. The truth is that there is no "one size fits all" scope out there that will work perfect in every situation. There are a lot of great scopes that will do a fantastic job for different situations, but there isn't one scope that will do it all. It's like comparing a Jeep to a Ferrari. Casey & Mike, the Conquest's are awesome scopes. I myself like the X50's, but then again I've got the 6-18 power. In the 4-14 model the X44 would probably be sufficiant, but I like to shoot long and like to have both the extra power and light gathering. Casey, I'm a little surprised you say they are expensive? Swaro's and Night Force are expensive... Conquests can't be touched at their price point! I also own a Nikon Monarch and think that for the money it's a really good scope. Take a look at the Vortex line as well. I put one on my muzzleloader this year and was very impressed with the quality and clarity. For the really long stuff... I don't think that for hunting situations the Huskemaw can be beat. There are some other great products out there, but the Huskemaw system is high quality, fast, and extremely effective in the field. Just range, dial, and shoot! Good luck... whatever decision you make!!!

Blake, I don't think you will be disappointed with your choice of caliber. We will have a real nice custom for you to shoot if you can make it shooting with us on Saturday. For what it's worth, even with known barrel burning calibers you can extend the life of the barrel if you just back off the powder a grain or two. Keep doing your homework and let us know what you find.

Congratulations on your successful hunt!!!

Congratulations on your success!!!

The truth is that any of the bullets mentioned fired from a 300 RUM will be fine for coues deer at normal ranges. I would try several different brands and loads and figure out which one is the most accurate out of your rifle and go with it.

Thanks for the write up and pic's. It's always interesting to see natures abnormalities! Congratulations on a great hunt!!!
