Check with Doug at Cameraland. I've bought several Zeiss "Demo" models that were in brand new condition with full factory warrantys for very low prices! He's a sponsor of this site and I think he still lists all his demo pricing on his site. Good luck!

Game and Fish Fired the guy (Macho B)
TAM replied to bowhuntaz1's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I was thinking the same exact thing! I've got two clowns that I had to lay off over a year and a half ago that are still freeloading off the system. I think Harry Reid and his peons just extended the unemployment benefits so more lazy folks can keep collecting a check for doing nothing! Perhaps G&F should have asked for the guys resignation? -
So I just got my 2010 US Census in the mail and after reading it I think I want to puke!!! Seems like a lot of personal questions regarding race, relationship, birthdays, home ownership/rent status, and they even ask for my telephone number. Now I know that there is a lot of good that potentially can come from the census, but much of what they're asking for seems to cross the line. I don't feel like it's any of their business! Does it really matter what my race is or if I own my home verses rent it? And why should I give them my phone number? I'm not so sure I would have a problem with these questions if I knew they were going to be used for the good of the people, but somehow with the current circus we have going on in the White House I feel like this information will be used for political corruption and bueracracy. After doing some google searches there seems to be quite a bit of controversy on this topic and several ways of dealing with it without crossing any lines and running the risk of fines or imprisionment. I for one like the two ideas listed in the links below. What are your thoughts or any other LEGAL ideas? This first link deals with using your fifth ammendment rights to answer questions. http://video.yahoo.com/watch/7165934/18661556 This link suggests with regards to the race question checking the "Other" box and writing in AMERICAN. http://michellemalkin.com/2010/03/09/my-race-is-american/

Taxes suck! I am no tax guy, but didn't they just pass a law that says you don't get double taxed on inheritence money? If your parents earned the money and paid their taxes on it once why should you have to pay taxes on it again just because the money changed hands due to inheritence? I guess the crooked politicians and dirty buggars in the IRS would take your last penny if they thought that someone else needed it more than you did. Maybe they didn't already pass the new law I'm thinking of and they are still trying to get it passed? Either way, Best of luck!

Toyota Recall
TAM replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
+1 AGREED! As someone who grew up during WWII, I have always made it a point to never buy a vehicle if the profits from its manufacture went to Tokyo or Berlin. It doesn't matter where if it is assembled here or somewhere else. Follow the money. Bill Quimby The problem with following the money trail these days is that it leads straight to Capital Hill and the White House! At least if you're buying Ford your money can go to feed the true American familys and not feed the Washington Political Machine! -

Did the guy get a citation for talking on his cell phone while driving? Going 94 miles an hour and talking on your cell phone is a good way to get into an accident!!! Stupid people are going to get someone killed!!! -
Just curious why on a private party sale you would require a CCW or DL?

Snapshot... you are a bigger Jack Butt than Gamehauler! ... Feel better now?

Dude... calm down, it's way to early to be pissed over the draw results! Last year they weren't even out until March 27th.

Saw a pickup truck just south of Roberts Market this morning at about 8 am. The sticker was across the top of the front windshield and it had an equipment rack with what looked like a roll of carpet loaded on top.

It'll sure give new meaning to the phrase "I got your back!"

He did a great job... it looks every bit as good as it did when it was alive! I really like how Dan's forms go way back onto the shoulder. It really makes them look nice not like there is just an animal neck sticking out of the wall. Congrats again on a great buck! I've got Dan working on restoring and mounting a 120 inch set of coues sheds I found a few years ago. So far they look awesome!

You also may want to purchase one of the OAL guage tools from Hornady. That way you can at least measure and find out what you've got to work with. In the end though unless you want to use your rifle as a singel shot loading longer than the magazine will be pointless. Good luck!

I've owned a bunch of different kinds including the home made kind and the Coverts are by far and away the best bang for your buck! Small and easy to conceal, simpe to operate, quality pictures, not to mention you can support the site by purchasing them through Amanda. Pretty much a no brainer! Good luck!

My three year old daughter loved the Dock Dogs! We sat there for about an hour while we ate our lunch and watched the dogs jump. It was a lot of fun! At one point there was a black dog jumping and Kamryn got excited because she thought it was Hap!

There are a few guys here including myself that have them. I love mine and have enjoyed great success with it. I think the optical quality is high and the repeatability of the clicks is dead on. I don't think there is a shooting system out there that is as simple to use under field conditions once you've got it all set up. Range it... Click it... Kill it!!! Good luck!

Cool pictures, but where is the fourth lion?

I just got a lion skull back from Western Skulls in Glendale that looks great! Give them a call or check them out online. www.westernskulls.com - or - (877)2-SKULLS Good luck!

Do you know if the 115 BT's will even shoot in your rifle? Don't buy the cart before the horse! Go do all your field work before you buy your scope. In fact, while you're at it, try several differnt bullet/load combinations and go with the one that shoots the most accurate, then go buy your new scope based on the results. Good luck!

Game&Fish - Operation Photo date check
TAM replied to C.O.U.E.S.'s topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I am never a fan of anyone just showing up at my house unannounced... even family and friends it's just rude! With that said I think my tone would depend upon the tone of the officers invloved. If they want to play nice then I can go along with that. However any intimidation techniques or power games on their part would probably end with me reminding them they are trespassing on private property and asking them to leave. I really think they should call first. It's just better for the Departments image. -
Gino is right... I am very happy with my rifle. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. I had a guy named Todd Bettin build it and I'm pretty sure he could build you one for about the half the cost of a Gunwerks rifle. Todd guarantees sub 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards and won't even send it out the door if it won't shoot better. My rifle's best groups have been in the .2's. Even my 9 year old son can hit a 10 inch steel plate at 600 yards with it. It sure takes hunting to another level when you have that kind of confidence in your shooting system. Here's a link to Todd Bettin's website: http://www.bettincustomguns.com/ Good luck!

I think RR did a pretty good job answering the first part of your question, but as for there being any disadvantage on using 20x for a 350 yard shot... I say no way! I shot my coues deer this year at 198 yards with my Huskamaw on 20X and had no trouble finding him in the scope or holding on him once I found him... perfect shot! I also shot my coues deer last year at 201 yards on 20X with no problems at all. As long as you have a good rest I really don't see there ever being any problems.
