Thats one nice buck! I've hunted that unit quite a bit and I've only seen 2 or 3 bucks that big in 20 years of hunting there. Congrats to your uncle. Here's my attempt on fixing the pics hope you don't mind.

Congrats to you both on 2 great bucks. I know some of my best hunts have been with my dad even though we never really had that much success hunting together they were still to this day some of my favorite hunts I've been on. So I can image how cool it was to have a hunt like this with your dad. Good times with family and friends...Can't beat it! Great Job!

Here's probably a better example of what a bedded buck might look like through binos. Once again this is still from video so obviously looking through binos would be much clearer. I took stills as the deer beds to help show how easily deer can disappear once they lay down. As you can see in the last pic bedded deer are pretty hard to see especially when they don't move. This buck actually laid his head down on the ground for about 15 min and took a nap. During this time I could not see him at all. If I didn't already know he was there I would have never found him. Here's another close one I was able to find.

Here's a few I was able to find. Unfortunately they are stills taken from video so the quality isn't that great. It's a lot harder to find bedded bucks than you might think by looking at these pics because I'm zoomed way in on these deer. I'll try to find a better example of what you might see looking through a pair of binos.

Great job guys! I'm no where near an expert but would guess him around 83-85 its hard to tell on this buck because some pics make his frame look small compared to his ears unless he has giant mule deer ears. Great buck congrats. I just looked at a pic of my cousin buck he shot in 06 and it looks just like this buck except for the extra little kicker. Well that buck scored 95 so I'm pretty sure I was off on my guess of 83-85. Nice buck non the less.

Now thats a unique buck! All I can say is WOW thats one nasty buck. You should call him The Big Nasty! Very nice buck congrats man.

Great buck! Without breaking him down and crunching numbers I'd say he scores around 87. Congrats on the buck.

We never had the chance to go back and check on the snake. I can't see how he could have got that rabbit down but who knows. Simple Hunter this could be a place you've been its a very popular spot. We saw a lot of hunters in there. Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Coues Sniper the camera I was using was a Canon Xl2. Unfortunately I had to get rid of it because it was just too dang big to pack around. Thanks again everyone hopefully I'll have some more video to share after the hunts this year. My family and I have 5 tags for the lat Nov. early Dec. hunts so maybe we'll get some good video.

This is one of my favorite video clips I've ever done. Not the biggest deer around but the video turned out GREAT! If I remember correctly I was about 200 yards away and was able to get about 10 minutes of these guys before they dropped down in a canyon out of site. Check it out. http://vimeo.com/1877209

I was on my elk hunt when I found this unfortunately I couldn't find the other side. I haven't found too many elk sheds but out of all the ones I've found this one is my favorite by far. I love character of this rack! Hope he's still around and I can try to find this years set come spring. The best part is my little girl is just excited to go look for it as I am.
