I have the chrony beta and the magneto speed v1. The magneto speed is by far a better chronograph than all the others. There are several well known long range hunters who compared all the chronos and the magneto comes out on top every time(With the oehler 35 a close second) . It is user friendly and a snap to set up. As Willhunt4coues said it's dead on in any and all conditions.Once you get your ES and velocity take it off and check your point of impact.

I've used my BR2 for the last 7 months and it is a great tool for longrange hunting out to 1400 yrds. There is not a faster way to get a ballistic solution to your shot.Range it ,dial it ,shoot!!(Know you wind and spin drift settings, of course) Has 4 backlight settings so you can range in almost all lighting conditions. We(me and my son) have used it from 500 out to 1325yrds with my 338 edge and the dope was on the money every time. I've cross checked the BR2 with Exball on my PDA and they are pretty much the same with the edge going to the BR2 because it calculates THD.and the time it saves when setting up the shot in hunting conditions.

Great story!! Congrats on your trophy bear and good luck on that other big one next year!!! -
My dad and I hunted 4 days, glassed up six bears. Manzanita was the main food source in the area we chose this year. Dad was fortunate enough to take a nice sow on day 4. 300 grain Sierra Match King did the job! Jake

Predator Called Spring Bear - The Anomaly
Dan replied to kidso's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
If you are so familiar with a story from a few years ago then you have been visiting this great site for quite some time. After years of zero contribution to the site you finally decided to join so you can post this? Really??? I think most people would agree that if you are going to join the site just to throw out ignorant negative comments then we would rather do without your input. What makes this site so incredible is all the knowledgeable and dedicated members that contribute to this site day in and day out to make it what it is, the best hunting related site on the web. If this is the best you can do and this is what you have to offer, then NO THANKS!!! Kidso is a walking book of knowledge when it comes to bears and bear hunting. Many of us on this site have been fortunate enough to benefit from Kidso's generosity when it comes to sharing his knowledge. Like I said before, what makes this site so special is the knowledgeable and dedicated members, Kidso being one of them. If you can't recognize and appreciate that then please go elsewhere. ++1 -
First or Second Focal Plane Scope?
Dan replied to Big Browns's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Your POI should not change at from one magnification to another with a SFP or a FFP. I would get the scope checked out. -
I have the nightforce NXS 5.5x22 with zero stop on my 338 edge.Never had any issues, always dials back to zero, great optics out to as far as you can shoot (1500 yrds +). If your rifle can handle it (weight wise ) nightforce is the way to go.Cost is up there but you get what you pay for. My rifle is 13.5 lbs. with scope and bi-pod.
