Pretty sure your eyes deceived you. The date stamp is correct on the train camera picture and very typical to see mature bulls hard horn at the beginning of August. Jeff

Thanks for the info Cody. When I lived in Fort Collins it seemed like bucks were getting rutty in mid November. My ex wife killed jumbo buck just outside of town on 3rd rifle that I have 8 points and would prefer a 3rd or 4th rifle tag. Crazy how the point requirement jumps 2 or 3 fold for the later tags. Might look at unit 40. Jeff

Reading the publication, I ask myself, why isn't the WMAT held accountable for failure to keep the horses on tribal land? Just push the horses back to the rez and "close the gate"! I also find it interesting the Center for Biological Diversity is partnered with hunting/conservation groups. I don't like them at all, they are very anti-hunting. 611lightnin' It is a tough hunt period. Low WT numbers, thick country, several MD hunts before with tons of tags and only a 5 day hunt! I scouted which helped, got away from the roads and did lots of glassing. My first hunt in 2018 was successful. My 2021 hunt was not successful. Only saw 2 mature (legal) WT bucks in 4 days of glassing. I will admit both both bucks were over 100" but couldn't get a shot because of the terrain and distance. Your hunt is earlier than mine so I can't tell you if it helps to have a muzzy tag. Jeff
