I am looking into climbing treestands and need some input. (I dont think I am interested in a fixed stand because you still need to buy some sort of way to get into the stand steps, etc.) So, safety first. Summit seems good but the cables may not be the best for aspen trees or other slick species) That is my hang up with Summit. api? It has to be quiet going up the tree and remain quiet while hunting. Lightweight. Reasonabley priced. Thanks for any input. I want the good, bad and ugly. Anybody heard of cougar claw usa? Jeff

I cant believe I missed this a few months ago! You are one tough, hardcore chick!! What words do you have for a 10 year old girl getting ready for her first hunt (yes we are anticipating a tag!)? Great hunt! Thanks for sharing it with us. Jeff

i GOT A HOLD OF SOME RETUMBO thinking it would work in my .257 weatherby and am having a hard time findng loads. I have Barnes 80 gr. TTSX, 100 TSX, 110 gr. ACCUBOND, and 117 SST. Other than having 120gr. partitions I think I have the bullet weights covered. I do have ImR 7828 ssc that I will try but want info on retumbo. I am aware of the H1000, H4831 and H4350 loads. Anybody?

Mount Graham (unit 31) area has been fired up for at least a week. Today I saw 2 bucks going at it and both were bloody afterwards. To bad i couldnt close the deal on the 100" loser!!! I moved from Fort Collins a few years ago, where are you from? Jeff

Yep! I assumed you were hunting 31. It is tough to find a "easy" buck with my father in law who cant hike far and my wife that really doesnt want too. We saw 2 does today!! Maybe we'll get lucky tomorrow. Jeff

Congrats on a great buck! Good to see someone around here having success! I have been trying to help my father in-law and my wife fill their tags this week and been having a tough time even finding a doe! Jeff

i WOULD TRY A SOFT POINT of some sort. I dont shoot that caliber but your right ballistic tips expand fast. Maybe a heavier bullet that is going a little slower. What part of the mine do you work at? Jeff
