    Kaibab or SLC

I can glass at least 15 minutes longer (early morning or evening) with my swarovski's than my brother in law. The clarity is better during the day. I had to take the objective lens covers off to "sqeeze" them together for my eyes to fit them, but they are perfect. I can glass for hours and have no eye fatigue or 'dizziness' when i come out of them. I AM GLAD I BIT THE BULLET FOR THE SWAROVSKIS!! NO COMPLAINTS HERE. Jeff

    scope for long range gun

My brothers in law are way ahead of me in the long range shooting world and I have been able to learn a lot lately. About a month ago I looked through and and shot two .308's that had a schmidt and bender (army special forces issued-one brother in law is in SF) and a bushnell HDMR with the HORUS reticle. Of course the Schmidt had better quality glass but was over $3000 vs. $1300 for the Bushnell. The bottom line with my 3 brothers in law was the Bushnell was worth the money and the Schmidt (yes, again with better glass) wasnt really worth spending over $3000. Dont let the bushnell name sour your taste on a long range quality scope, i was suprised that it was pretty good glass and had the front focal plane. Jeff

    RUT ACTIVITY

I was glassing for a friend saturday that has the same tag as you Coues and Bass. At 130 in the afternoon I found a upper 80's type 3 point waking around. He seemed to be looking for something, LOL. I also saw him make a scrape. We found 2 fresh scrapes (besides the one I saw a buck do) also on saturday. I believe this coming week things will be getting rutty in 31. Jeff

Great opening day of trapping season

Congrats on the success. I am curious what the bobcat pelt went for? I was told "good spots" on bobcats were at very high (insane) prices. Any truth to that? Jeff
