i hit this cat this morning after calling for about 5 minutes with a foxpro fx3 i bought yesterday afternoon. no chance for buyers remorse.

i bought a doubler from sportsman's in december, it's hardly used. i use it on my 15's, but it has two other adapters as well. i paid 378 for it... i'll let it go for 225, as i need the cash.

i started calling with a zepps jackrabbit distress call in september. i called in several coyotes and a gray fox, but really had my heart set on shooting cats. i wanted the caller so i could position myself away from the source of the call to keep myself from being seen so easily. I haven't been up to alpine, i was headed that direction when i shot that cat, but saw something (i'm assuming it was this cat) cross the road in front of me before i got to nelsons. i assume there's still plenty of snow in the shade up there, but it is melting quick.

thanks everyone. i was using a cottontail distress, and he came running. it was one of the coolest things i've seen in the woods. i mangled his belly, but plan on a return on investment with the next couple of cats i get. anyone know a good resource on how to take care of the fur once you get it, if you're planning to sell it? the rifle's a .25-06 (a bit of overkill i know, i plan to get a .17 soon) oh yeah, the snow is melting fast in springerville and the lower areas. I was surprised to find it patchy at best when I got there, I expected more. Jay
