2010 October Coues 130" and 98"
azbow replied to jmwhitehunter's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
The third pic (with both bucks) sure shows the diff in size between them. They are both beautiful bucks but the big guy is amazing. Nice work -
That sounds pretty good. I will try to attend also.

They don't come any prettier than that one.

The bases have to be close to 15" for it to score 166 pts The second quarter might be 12"

Very special to have your family take part and share your once in a lifetime hunt with you. Nice ram and good looking mount. What were the base measurements ?

That is a nice colored bear and a great picture.

Good job Andy, that is an old Tom. Don't get much older than that do they? (Pics show up here a lot better than on my cell) Nice shot Tines. Thanks for the story and pics guys

Some rugged peaks but access is way to good. Thousands of winter visitors in the Quarzite area have pounded quad trails everywhere.

Great trophy wall! The pics of that archery buck turned out a little fuzzy, especially the horns...... How are you getting your bear mounted?

Allen, let us know what you think about your new rest. I have shot whisker biscuits for years and still think that they are the best hunting rest. When I got my new Z7, I decided to try a drop away and got the Trophy Taker. It works good and has the arrow containment that I wanted with broadheads flying around my wrist. However, I am thinking of going back to the WB because I don't trust the drop away completely. The cord could come loose at the wrong time or something else. Probably won't happen, but the WB is as fool proof as anything could be and I have shot broadheads and Blazer vanes pretty consistantly at distances as far as my sights will allow. I can't tell that the TT is any more accurate than the WB. Jim

Mexico eases Travel Requirements
azbow replied to coueshunter's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
Thanks Ernesto and daryl ! One more thing, do I need to get my gun and optics registered at the customs office in Phx to get them back into the US, or can they do that in Nogales when I cross? Do you get special auto insurance for Mexico? (guess that was two more things) -
Mexico eases Travel Requirements
azbow replied to coueshunter's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
Does everyone need to stop and get a Visa or will a passort take the place of the Visa? What do we need to take for proof of vehicle ownership? Title? Are there signs in English at the Nogales entry to tell where the places are to get in and out of Mexico? Customs, USF&W office etc.?
