    Barrel Length

Well after looking into the rules on the T/C heres what I have come up with. Nothing. Most I can find has to do with the conversion of the gun between the rifle configuration and the pistol configuration. It says you have to "legally" drop 200 to reregister thegun with the ATF to switch the gun between rifle and pistol or back again. Whatever it legally was registered is how it has to stay. It says for it to be a pistol its barrel length had to stay under 16 inches. But I don't know if its worth anything to this post.

    2X2 or 90 incher

I love the archery stalk. I have pretty much gotten away from rifle. I have never harvested a big game with the bow but I love getting in on them and that has happened too many times. I always have seemed to blow it some way or another. But i plan on keeping at it.

    Arrow help.

I have been using the Beman ICS hunters I have really liked them. They were abour 54 per dozen last time I bought them they were unfletched but I went ahead and did that. I liked them way more than the Gold tip seemed a little nicer.

    Barrel Length

Well all I know is that its a bit unfair for someone to be using a 22-250 T/C on a Ham hunt or whatever other large centerfire caliber they have it in. How does that really qualify as a handgun come on.

    Baby boy names

Congrats Im in the same boat as you got a boy due here in a couple weeks and we have it narrowed down. Awhile ago we both agreed we liked the name Barrett Dane/Cole Anderson but I was afraid people would call him Barry which I dont like at all. So then I have been pushing the name Brig Crighton Anderson. Well thats not going over cause she is under the impression that we are going with Barrett and now has made ots of baby stuff with the name Barrett. Good luck on all that. Hussein is always a good name....

    Question

That mention of the Bible by Rembrandt makes me wonder if maybe the flood of Moses time was a result of Global Warming.... Wait a minute does that mean Gore is our Moses... Oh God help us please. Scientists are so screwed up when they can't believe in God because they are to pig headed. They can understand few of the most intricate mysteries that few people on the planet can. But, they cannot realize some of the most plain to sight miracles that prove there is a God. Oh yeah and Global Warming sucks.

    Question

I suggest we all read a book called State of Fear by Michael Crighton. By far the awesomest person on earth. The whole book is on the BS of Global warming. From what I understand Crighton was anti Global Warming. Quick story about this. Al gore was asked one day what he thought about Crightons anti-global warming sentiment by a reporter. Gore proceded to comment that Crighton should leave that kind of stuff to those whom are qualified to make judgements on that. He said he should stick to he knows... writing fiction. Well for those that dont know heres some of Crightons stats. Crichton graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College, received his MD from Harvard Medical School, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, researching public policy with Jacob Bronowski. He taught courses in anthropology at Cambridge University and writing at MIT.(taken from his website) SO anyways point of the story is that in order to understand Global Warming or climate change we need to be like Al to understand it. Gore graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government cum laude from harvard. I guess its just to simple for me to understand. After all a biology degree isnt that good anymore. I just don't believe it to Al's radical level...What am I supposed to think????

    Finally Ready

Well after practicing forever trying to get my bow feeling good out to sixty yards I decided that it was time to find my arrows that are flying best. I don't know if many of you do it (or if I'm just that anal about it) but basically right before a hunt after all the extra practice I get all my arrows and shoot them at a target at 30 yards. I pick the five that group the tightest and use those for my hunt. Well after practicing out around 50-60 yards bringing it back in to 30 seemed a lot easier to group them. After flinging my fifth arrow into the group I saw it bounce back at me. I went over to see what happened and saw this: I was so stoked to see my group tight enough to have done the "Robin Hood" thing. Waste of an arrow but who cares I was totally excited. And here is one of the practice groups at forty yards the orange circle is 3" So needless to say I am so stoked to go out Javelina hunting this Friday and I hope to at least come back with something

    Unit 28 Javelina?

Wait do you mean over the counter or left-over tag because all the over the counter tags or for Metropolitan units. Cant hunt in unit 28 with an over the counter tag....I think.

CAt #7 what a great way to start teh new year!

Man thats great I'm starting to wonder if your breeding those and letting them go to shoot. Great work keep it up.
  22. Come one this is an important one for all. Even if you carry a rifle. If something is coming at you its a lot easier to get that handgun out than a rifle, muzzleloader, or bow. If a lion were on top of you a even a rifle is no good no matter what caliber. Everyone should leave a comment with AZGFD in support of hunters being able to protect themselves.
  23. This story is as much B.S. as global warming...trophy quality is not going to decrease because they hunt trophy quality animals. A younger animal that one day will be trophy has the same ability to breed an animal as an older one that already is trophy quality exspecially if the older one is being hunted. I think that trophy quality is mostly porpotional to age and the ability to grow old and not be killed is based on their ability to not get in front of my bow. If they want to increase trophy quality deer I propose this idea I have talked about with other hunters. That would be to kill more spikes. The trophy quality animals are going to grow forks their first year not just spikes. Therefore by getting rid of the non-trophy quality animals early it increases the chance that the trophy quality get to breed more often even at younger ages. Sounds good to me extra hunting season.
  24. That was great and I quote "If someone comes into your house which would you rather have a gun or a phone? You can call the police but all they will do is come and take a picture of your dead body!!!" Well put.

    @$#^%&*@ Camera thieves

Man that really blows I wish there were something to do to stop these guys. Heres an idea I have been tossing around in my head. I used to work as a welder for a number of years and have come up with some ideas. Maybe some other people have come up with some similar ideas lets hear them. Lots of people use straps to hold their cams to trees. My idea is to find some way to use bike chains not the kind to lock up a bike but the kind on the pedals. They are still pretty flexible and nobody with a pocket knife is going to be able to walk off with them. Then the other obvious idea is to mount them into a metal box. This could allow for everything to be locked up. Both ends of the bike chain would be able to wrap around a tree and lock up inside the metal box and I think it could be adjustable so it wouldn't be limited to one size tree. Just a couple ideas I have. If anyone needs help to try and "steal proof" there cams let me know I'd be willing to help out if I can. David
