I have thought about this many times. I shot a buck last year that was the smallest buck i have ever taken, but the range i took him at and who i was with, made it a trophy to me! We can all say this buck or bull scores this, it made book, or was just shy of it. Enjoy the moments leading up to the kill, we all over look the things that we are part of that so many people wont ever see. So many people dont know what it is like to see the world come alive in the morning.....A " Trophy" is the hunt and all that is part of it! dont get me wrong i want a buck or bull to score high, but when all is said and done i love the time that is spent in the hills. I am gonna have to say a healthy Coyote with the winter coat still on and if your title on the the bottom right of your pic is correct, they have been taking out a lot of good bucks. cool pic for a conversation. Its nice to have a rangefinder that reaches that far to plan a stalk... you can range one ridgeline then range the next and do some quick math and find out how far you will be to really slow down your stalk.

Leica no question!!! When it comes to binos i am all Swaro but the Leica rangefinders are the best! IMO

If you dont mind the size and weight of the Doctors i would go with them hands down....The vipers dont gather light very well with being only a 50mm at a 15 power. Mark

My Wife works with the Mother and Uncle of the little girl. It is just horrible. She has been in our prayers everynight! I cant even put words to how horrible it is. I hope they catch him and let the inmates take care of him on the inside! ~Mark

isnt the 10% for non residents spread out over the entire state and not just unit to unit.

If you have time to scout October is the way to go, but the idea of only puting in for tough hunts, meaning December tags, is a good idea beacuse there are always good hunts left over and it is fun to learn new units while building points in the mean time.

Congrats to a great bull being shot. If they took a plane to find a bull like that...who cares. its not like they shot it from the plane or chopper he flew in on (if that is true). hiring a guide is needed sometimes and the guides make a living at doing ,what I think, all of us wish we could do. Just like any job, you will do what it takes to make a client or boss happy. It is too bad that there is so much bad talking about this person that shot the bull...we should just look at the pics and and say, "WOW that is a HUGE 6x6" Also i agree with a lot of people on here about the money. With that being said we wouldnt have the quality of wildlife and amount if it was not for people to donate the money, these people can go some where else, there are high fence ranches where they can choose to shoot something that is huge.....but thats not the case here. The money went to the state of which most of us love to hunt. It is good for all of us! On another note... What makes this any different than someone finding a huge bull on the side of the road while driving a quad or truck. we all use what ever we can to find what we want to shoot: quads, trucks, planes, choppers, optics or the quads God gave us, guide and hunter alike!!! As far as the pilots go, they should be happy to be able to find work, not complane they didnt get a bonus. i am sure they got payed and there are a lot of pilots out there that are just looking for flight time because they love being in the air! you are a good guy...i dont know you but that is good to know that there are still good people out there. i left a cell phone in a restroom at the mall and was gone for no more than 5 mins and it was gone...i went to the lost and found and someone turned it in. people like that are few. hopefully who it belongs to gets it back to them....if not good job! Hmm thats funny. I happen to kill a bull this year at 50 yards. Guess what?, it was a complete pass through. Grow up, you act like you are pre-teen blaming everyone else for bad things you have seen in the past. BTW, I dont use an atv, I dont drink and I have killed 3 other bulls under 30 yards.
