121 4/8 great buck congrats

I was in a float tube on Reservation Lake and it was snowing their before the 4th, probably about a week....the 4th was the shoot at Sunrise and we shot in the snow. probably about 3 years ago. good times

I have missed more than I want to think about, but also connected quite a few times....One of many things my dad taught me about hunting is that if you lose that feeling of Buck Feaver, then its time stop hunting....

maybe an on your honor long shot award.....i think we all can be trusted.....

i am no biologest but i think the color difference and thickness of them have to do with how old the antler is.....they will dry out and the color will change, that is why the B&C has a drying period for scoring.

My dad has 22 poimts and didnt draw that tag this year. Somethings just dont make sence. good luck next year.

Im sure its a replica....I think the real antlers are at the International Wildelife Museum in Tucson. Wellers does great work and that is a great piece!!!!!

This post kinda upset me. there some hunters that can shoot that range, this individule can not. he/she was missing by more than 10 feet on some shots. i think it is fair to the animal because it is still hunting as long as you are able and confident to shoot that distant. i shot my buck this year at 745 yards. this may sound a little odd but I was able to put the wind and angle in to a program to tell me exactly where to hold with my last cross hair that I have 600 yds. One shot one kill, the buck was dead before i heard the report or the thump when the bullet hits. If Someone is confident I dont think there is a problem. IMO!!!!

I got lucky when I was 17 and drew a coveted Arizona Desert Sheep tag. I got drawn in 39W the year it took off....it has gone down a bit since...probably those dang lions. countless mornings of waking up at 230 to drive 4 hours to scout with my dad....but it was so worth. It is an adiction like coues deer. To watch these animals and see how they can servive in such a tough environment is amazing. Not too bad of a view 167 4/8 He just missed B&C, but I don't care he is just what I wanted. That was a fun day, packing out in a down poor. great ending to a tough hunt! I have no problem with using Rinos and Motorolas together but I have had issues with Midlands....

I am pretty sure that if you are active military you dont have to wait the 6 months do be considered a resident. I would double check it but I think I am correct!

Good call on the ears!! he looks big in size but he might not score well. depends on the hunter/client if it what he/she wants....

I have always gone off of if the ears look small and the belly is close to the ground. from that pic he looks pretty good. I have only shot one bear, so I am no expert . Also...I have noticed that most Black Bears in Arizona are not black, I have seen many more lighter shades, I like the black more than the cinnamon or chocolate colors..... just my .02!

GET YOUR GRADES UP! School is very importent and you will learn that as you get older! Take this time to realize how much your family cares. Your father would not do this if he didnt care about you and your future. I love hunting and being in the field, I have had some of my best memories out in the hills. With that being said, in the future you wont be able to do things you love with out some kind of education. Do not look at this as a bad thing. yeah, I know it sucks, not being able to hunt, but look at this as a good thing! You have many years ahead of you and many more memories to make and if you dont have a decent job to pay for it, there is no way any one can do it. Unfortuneltly this can be an expesive sport and I think our wives or husbands are finding this out more than we would like! Hang in there, bring your grades up and have many more memories in the future! Im only 29 and i wish I would have done better in school! Your Dad is in the right! You will find that if you work hard in school your outcome will be better than you can imagine and you can take your Dad to Africa! Good Luck!

I have a pair of the 20s that you are talking about. I really do like them, they are big, that is for sure, but they are decent to good glass.... a couple of suggestiond are; get a strong trpod and head to support the weight, because they are heavy and when they start to move in the wind it gets a bit annoying. Also get a strong tripod adapter I actually ended up using an L bracket from the hardware store. If I were you I would get those, you won't be disipointed, for what you want to spend. I don't know who makes them but they are made in Japan which is a lot beter than being made in China. I have heard rumors that they are made by Steiner, but I have not been able to confirm it. Steiner is in Germany and these are from Japan. My buddy has the Steiner 20x80s and I dont see a differense in the glass or the ergonomics. ~Mark

This bear score 18 8/16ths and is an Arizona bear from the southern units I got a few years back by sot and stalk im not sure what the weight was, not sure on the age. Im 6'3" and the other guys are around 6' to give you a comparison on the size. Hopefully this might help a bit.
