Scott we need to talk. Found out some info today thet may or may not effect your hunt. GCNP has implemented a plan to trap and pen bison. They want pen completed by Oct before snow comes in. Not sure when they plan on beginning the round up fall or Spring

Well there's your problem right there you went to Mission Beach LOL it's been a long time since I was active duty but even back then there was places on Mission Beach military personnel were not allowed to be because of the level of drug sales. All I'm saying is why is everybody got a jack with everybody in California you know there's some people that are just dying to get out of there obviously or else they wouldn't be taking over Arizona. Let's just hope they came here because they don't like it there and lets hope they don't vote to make us Cali. So no even when leg heals i will not walk around on Mission Beach it is kinda like how we dont just go for a ride at night in certain parts of Cali, Phoenix, Tucson or anywhere else that has a cespool. Although i found myself in some bad Cali places and once in New Orleans still got directions from people on corners they just laughed and said "what you want crazy white boy" :] Again I think our time and effort would be much better spent dealing with the scumballs in Arizona that call themselves Hunters yet go out and steal people's cameras and blinds and raid their camps. I think we would do better not arguing about whether somebody shot a boar or a sow during the bear hunt. Think we would do better off not arguing whether somebody uses hounds or spot and stalk or shoots from 900 yards away. Liberal logic will win by way of our arguementative ways. Oh by the way they are gonna bait and trap and pen up the Grand Canyon Bison.

L.O.L. tell me what it matters who comes here ro hunt. Heck AZ guys steal each other's cameras rob from their camps and poach animals what does it really matter if somebody from California comes here to hunt? Sure California's politics suck but you can't really hold it against somebody who has career there such as military people stationed there I mean you're throwing them under the bus just the same *they live in California correct* I thought that would be a more obvious thing to figure out when I said it. With what i have been thru with this foot/ankle/achilles trust me i'm more on the precautios side then the doc. yes rain kinda worries me. I have had plenty of info sent my way by some helpful folks on here. Also have map headed my way and a pdf map layover deal i don't understand yet L.O.L. guys have always helped me out on here when i need it. Now if i could get 5 new bfg's i'd be set! 😂 I cannot hunt 1st week for sure. I have got message with guides hints but guess deer not looking good at all... He doesn't realize a big fat forkie will look fine to me. 😜 All last year achilles issue built up and basically could barely walk after Nov. Surgery in January by Va and recovery 5+ months but surgery failed new surgery 6 weeks in cast still have stitches in and cast on. Cast off for stitches out wed my leg is starting to look like a 95 year old man with zero muscle 😧 now i may get walking boot or another cast that is gonna make huge difference. *And still if i don't find reliable person to go with real quick i will donate tag back for,someone,more able* I asked for only later rifle huntsl/muzzy/archery to be considered for me this year but when this was dangled in face with guides help and a driver i could not turn it down but it turns out circumstances are a bit different and i just cannot in any way consider this solo. Fingers crossed!

I'm not there yet man although often my wife wishes I would. LOL she gets a little sick of me saying I can't do things on certain days she'd rather I just hop in a wheelchair and make the best of it but I'm not quite ready for that. So far for me wheelchairs are just for post up. 👍

I have had a few tags donated. I have yet to fill a donatd tag. I still put in for tags and the good part is if when my tag rolls around I'm unable to hunt I can hope that I get a donated tag for the next season when I'm able. So far that's how it's been working out. Yes most of the time the Hunts have been like a late archery elk which is little more difficult and success rate isn't real high but few have been general season hunts i just haven't been able to close the deal. When it comes to deer most hunts only last 1 week it's much better on my body to not push it and try and hunt every day matter of fact i usually only hunt afternoons. Coming home and after a week of hunting then not being able to walk for a month kinda pisses off family ya know, this behavior already cost me 1 marriage. I used to take prednisone to be able to have better hunts but that cost me my hips.. The hunting addictiction is REAL. It's been a Blessing to myself and many others that they have these programs but i have also learned often my fortune comes from somebody else's misfortune. Such as last year a gentleman and his brother had put in to hunt elk together and by the time they were drawn one of the brothers found out he had cancer so both tags ended up being donated because the brother had very short time to live. Donated tags like that really wanna make you honor that donation this tag that were talking about the gentlemen's kids were drawn for an archery Antelope hunt the following weekend out of state and he doesn't have time to do both so he chose to put his time into his kids rather than spending it all on himself. Thankful for the opportunity.

Chances are i will let the dust settle a bit and head up half way thru hunt since i fear telling my doc im going camping 1 day after she removes all my stitches might not go well. I did manage to go to Canada last year and come home with 1 less broadhead a busted shaft and no bear... According to the guy i was with i managed the impossible! He did admit he had 1 friend he took before in his 20 years of hunting in Canada that was also unsuccessful but he said that guy was shooting birds and squirrels from the stand all day. 😯😬 😂 😂 😂 I will hope for that slam dunk.

Right on! I went last year and fished between every bear stand sit and loved it. I caught so many walleye my arms were sore ate so much fish I think my sweat smelled like fish when I left. Pike were a blast.
