Heck remember with that recoil chart even the design of a stock may effect felt recoil from same weight gun or even same gun just sayin... my 25-06 is a rem 700 old school in Adl so flippin heavy and shooting 117 I gurantee she kicks WAY harder than my tikka superlite in 7mm-08 shooting 139 both in superformance sst🤷‍♂️ sometimes it just makes no sense but it does happen. I do love the 25-06, 260rem, 7mm-08, and dream of all things .243 still 🤗 I think it is 117gr sst yes for 25? Anyways good luck! With your kids ages it sure shouldn't matter much! My paps had me in a 30-06 at like 12 I think so there's that. That was when we still only had cement hard recoil pads so I still kinda hold that against him. 🤣

Give us your bare rifle budget no scope that'll help. I like 300wm but yes they do have a thump to them. Still one of my favorites. When walking into the unknown it always feels good to know you have something that does not discriminate between short and long range killin.

So is 7mm mag ammo sold? Not sure if you are deleting old and adding new? I will take 7mm mag ammo if still available

I have been in this neighborhood almost 20 years now. I have had to watch 90% of the houses lose their trees in storms As you can tell by the size of mine at the base you can tell I treated mine a little differently thanks to mom working at landscape architect place at that time. Oh here is a picture of my neighbors tree on my truck just a month or 2 back 🤬 I try and have mine thinned once a year to not risk any breakage cuz we do get some really crazy twisting winds on my lot. I am at the end of a street that then turns toward i-17 & the winds come down the road and hit my tree and you can watch it twisting it is pretty gnarly. The kind of tree (acacia? The kind that has the watermelon looking seeds the white wind dove LOVE) in this pic on my truck has not done well around here but mostly cuz shallow short watering against base of trees. 🤷‍♂️

I always have it thinned this time of year. It just got leaves back. It is heavy and yes not good in wind but No I do not fear this 1 coming down. Btw no thorns or sap.
