What he 👆 said !!! Everybody else wants 70lb to shoot elk at 120yards. I was shooting 54lb after shoulder work and wondered why I ever shot 72 & 74lbs 😧

This is exactly why I tossed in the towel and took my meat tag in Raymond this year. My whole life I have dreamed of my big bull bison from house rock. the stories I have heard about how it all goes down up there led me to just flat give up and decide to go get the meat I paid for. I was not about to go get all bent out of shape on a hunt I dreamed of my whole life. Sorry you did not score some steaks

So instead of "what unit were you hunting" now game and fish gotta ask what unit did you shoot from and walk to and gut it in. ? oh and if in areas like Coconino with designated campsites "what unit are you camped in" while hunting beside where you will be shooting to and gutting in and walking to or from Okay that's all too confusing I'll stick to shooting from the unit I'm hunting in. But seriously in areas like 11m and 6a I was hunting in the area at 11m we're guys that had 6a tags were camped in 11 m because there was no designated camp areas in the edge of 6a where they wanted to hunt and I'm just wondering how Game and Fish officers feel when there's an animal hanging in your camp with a tag from the unit next door???
