-
thats what im saying, the hair is sluffing off..and looks like mange.
-
it just looks bad to me, the first pic i mean the second is normal imo. the hair is like sluffing off...

they dont seem to find it as fast, and ive found that the deer dont find it when wet but do when dry... weird but it works out perfect for me....
-
Desertbull, you sir just made my night!!!! i cant stop laughing!
-
if there are any cattle in the area, dont wet it, if there isnt then wet it and the deer will hit it faster. if you do wet it with cattle around the salt will be gone in a week.
-
fanastic! looks like a lot of fun!!! are you sure that isnt a chocolate black bear???
-
looks really big and bulky. also a little too complicated when you can get the same result with just a simple panhead

i'd pass even if he was huntable. let him grow a few more years. id pass on him if he was at 30 yards on the last minute of the last day of a December hunt....let em grow.... you guys have no patience....

Now should be a good time to put our some salt and mineral blocks for some desert mulies, right(because the monsoon has started? i have a 40 lb bag of granular. should i just pour in front of my cam and then drown it down into the soil? any tips? i plan on put 20lbs in front of each cam. thanks
-
all ive been using is mortons salt...
-
no, i didnt, which is very odd. but i still have to check the other cam
-
yes sir, just put 40 on each spot.
-
i guess the badgers like the salt!!! i would only get him running by, but now the salt has been stopping him and interesting him....

I do believe that water in May and June is critical to horn growth for Bighorn Sheep and Pronghorn Antelope. Water is also necessary for ANTLER growth in Mule Deer, elk and Coues WT Deer during the same months! Just my thoughts... 280rem

Hi: I'm going nuts trying to find a sunshade (black matte) for my scope. Guy at Optics Planet told me over the phone that a TR TWO WILL fit a TR ONE scope. So, I found one (silver) at Natchez and ordered it. Got it home and spray-painted it flat black only to find out later that it DOES NOT FIT! RATS! Well, that sunshade is now for sale ($20 plus shipping) and I am still looking for one to fit my Weaver Nitrex TR ONE 50mm objective scope. THX, 280rem

What is this, looks like a spider with a shell in its back....they were everywhere!
-
they are a ways in and on private. you have to go through some nasty washes to get to them from either side and if you are, you're trespassing. i put the salt on my frame with the block on top and walked in. i thank you for your concern with my cameras! i will be hiking 8 hours into a spot in october, and i assure you i wont be carrying salt or blocks!
-
a new buck....he is very wet too. what do you figure he will grow into?
-
here are my 2 spots, i dug a small hole and put 20lbs of salt in it, and then i put down a small cinder block and put a small mineral lick in it. the cinder block is so that it will stay in front of the camera and wont get pushed into the next county. the cinderclocks holes are big enough for a deer to get their mouths in there. i poured roughly 3 gallons on the salt at each set. what do you guys think?
-
thanks! do you think some cattle will find it, being in the ground and all?
