    Trapping and ethics

That said I think their might be a need for a Trapping In AZ column? What do you think Amanda? I think the AZ Trappers Assoc. would appreciate it. And many others...... Ruffcountry is right , they need support to keep our right to trap in the future.

    NEW RULE FOR SHEDS?

I'm just glad they havent taken our right to pick them up period, YET. Like NM and so many other states. Ok so I'll maybe have to stick the "fresh" ones in a tree for a year to be able too keep the darn thing? Old rule , now clarified, still don't like it but probly does keep poachers at bay, ohh well. Another BS rule brought on by shady hunters, thanks No guilty concience here, I'm haulin umm out. If they think they can get to the places I go and find mine to see if the "majority" of hair and hide is there than be my guest, I'll lead the way Guilty until proven innocent, the new American way

    Trapping and ethics

How easy or hard is it to get a liscense in this state? You guys have my curiosity, sounds like fun if you have the time. We've got coyotes that surround our place nightly i bet I could rack up some serious dogs. Or do I even need a liscense to trap on my property? They're a pest, keep me up all night some times cause they get our pet dogs all ramped up and howlin, and no I don't feel bad for that devil cat, and no she didn't look scared of Amanda and the camera either, also that close to the picnic area, no bueno! Good ridance

    Trapping and ethics

You have spent many a day and night trapping it sounds like. I respect the aquired knowledge you have and the challenge trapping could present. Like I said, were all killers. Sounds like theres more to it than I thought. thanks for the honest reply.

Walked up on a lion yesterday

Snares, conibers and drowning sets usually kill quickly. I was unaware some traps could kill quickly. Thank's for the experties. I could see myself trapping, given that.

Touche my hunting brother, An argument? NO,no,no. I just wonder how our community feels about this, ya-know. I'm simply looking for a good conversation. I know most will refrain from commenting on this subject for fear of being seen as either a "tree hugger" or a mindless killer. I'm niether and i'm sure none of you are. So I see it as a negative thing NOT to discuss this issue. Argument is a word my X liked to use whenever discussing important things. No what I mean Vern? What would this forum be without "arguments" as you say.

Walked up on a lion yesterday

That kitty is SOL! Awesome footage Amanda !!!!, and a nice shot opportunity . I woulda put it out of it's misery though. That would be the right thing to do , if it was me in that situation. Yeah, trapping and hunting are too different ball games. Dead kitty either way. I feel like i'm splitting hairs here but that's how I see it. No one ever said trapping was humane anyway. But it's our right and hope it stays that way. My dad once called in a sherriff for a horse that broke it's leg in a cattle gaurd, very messy and loud.. The officer arrived, saw the doomed horse and left to find the owner. My dad left shortly after the cop with one less 44 mag round. end of story. end of suffering When I arrowed a pig at 14 years old i gut shot it and it wasn't a quick kill shot. the pig went ten feet and laid down makeing an awfull racket. I finished him at 5 feet with a snubby 22. I'll never forget watching the life leave the body that close. But that's what needed to be done. end of story.end of suffering My dad neck shot a mulie once, we got to the buck 4 hours later, he was paralized and couldn't move an inch. Except for his eyes. Old snubby 22 at 5 feet once again. end of story.end of suffering A quick death is a humane one, but we all know this allready. Probably why they have the 24-48? hour rule. But that's a long, long, slow painfull death, for anything. Don't kid yourselves. Just my 2 cents on trapping ethics. Nothing against trappers, were all killers. I just prefer hunting. Call me soft but I don't have the heart to make animals suffer for 24-48 hours. What's you're opinion? I'm makeing a seperate topic for trapping & ethics. Again, awesome encounter and footage! No lion tag?

    3 for 3 this fall

Bad az season. get it? awesome man
  19. I 'm sure the g&f supports Big buck hunting. I'm sure they know a thing or two about management and I really think you are stepping on toes by calling out rifle hunters . I was unaware that a rifle hunter muzzleloader or bow hunter were any different. I'm all three. I must hunt three times as much as you then huh ? jk man. But really there is no diff. and yes the ban will happen , you're right. I don't like it either.I wish they would explain they're reason for it too!!!!!!!!!! And reading the proposal I think water would be clearly stated if they intented to include that in the ban. They would not beat around the bush about it. Least that's what I'm seeing. For an average hillbilly. Ingestible substances is a big word!
