Really cool find , he was a fighter, might have been the death of him? Cool to imagine a battle like that. You're guilty untill proven innocent so if you can prove you DIDNT cause the death then..... what a buncha flippin BS. Great find man!!!Awesome way to remember a hike. G&F.......... Another right- bites the dust, and- another ones gone, another- rights gone, another one bites the- dust!!!..........Come on sing along!! If we open our eyes it's easy to see, who is, the real enemy . Shame to bring such legal pettyness and crockery as this into a wonderfull day hikeing with someone and an awesome find

Food for thought quercus, and quimby 2, And welcome to the site Quercus! Jeremy, wheres the cape Just a bad situation all around, kitty is worst off. Learn more about their habits? WTF, they hunt for a living, killing what they can, probly have a large homerange, probly hunt at night mostly, need water to survive. C'mon give me a break!!! like duh!!!! What were they really gonna learn? Did they think they could fly or migrate 1000 miles to mate or weave nests out of socoros or eat mostly twigs berries and bugs.

2007, Ol' Boy and his Coon kill, I swear, Theres nothin this dog can't do in the woods! The Coon got the end of my dogs ear, But as you can see, lost the battle.Amen to mans best friend. I'll miss him somethin terrible some day........ Definatly my "Dog of a Lifetime". I've had a few hounds, redbones-walkers-and B&T's, and still love to hear them on the trail. But they'll never compare to my Ol' boy. The Great and greatly missunderstood, AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER. These dogs have hearts, brains, lungs and noses bigger than their jaws, He would do anything to please his master, anything, even lay down his life , wich he's proven to me many a day in the woods....... I trully love this dog.But he still probly loves me more, and everybody and anybody else for that matter. One truly great dog. Just a good Ol' boy!!! He's 120% full throttle hunter and people lover, what more should a dog ever be? Thanks for the coon Ol' boy, and everything else....

Hey Jimmer, You have one of the most positive attitudes of any one on here, and never shy about giving credit where credit is due! If you apply that to shed hunting persistantly, you will find more than you ever bargained for. Keep it up man. And never get discouraged, theres many days when you find one or none. As azantler enthusiast and grong will surely back me up on that. Just like it took me 7 years of hunting to get my first deer, That hit and miss experience helped me get a trophy 2nd buck last year. And the 8 antlers I found the first year helped me hit 50 the next and so on. Attitude is everything. Keep it up. You'll prosper in all you do. Ohh and Jason, Welcome to Coueswhitetail.com once again . And ten more times since there seems to be a lack of community and sportmanship right now!

I've never caught a walleye, that's a heck of days fishing there! way to go man!

Our good areas consist of eastern AZ and western NM, hopefully southern Utah in the future and The Gila in central nm and central AZ rim country. Pretty big honey holes huh? The ultimate for me I think would be a trip into the Yukon by riverboat. Someday huh Jason. If you can leave the misses and little ones for that long Course you're son joe will be joining us in another few years. He's only 5 now but can allready run a mile. You're creating a monster Jason, What a fine son you have, and family for that matter. I told Jason I thought the 4 fundamentals of sheddin were Know-how, Effort, Luck and Location, He replies it's Location location location location, He's allready concored the first three I mentioned I guess, I'm workin on it. Thanks for all the help shed brother.

Thanks Jason. I scored it last night. 91 7/8- 85 3/8. It will look cool on the wall 4 sure. That bigger elk shed went 154. And the chewed up coues set went 87 and change without a spread. Thanks for the posts. If you click on add reply under a topic you have the same posting abbilities. (so you don't have to start new topics on the same subjects). You didn't mention the 12+ sheds YOU left laying! Like a seasoned big buck hunter, Jason is picky about what sheds to bring back. I brought all my finds out, 10 antlers. Jason packed 8 out, but in his humbleness didn't mention the many he left. You the man! (he actually found 20+ horns How about that set you found on top of eachother, got a pic of that? The commedy highlight of this trip was an old hoot owl who camped out both nights, we suspect he is the culprit that took off with one of Jasons spare hiking shoes . To funny and wierd!!! maybe Bigfoot needed a new left boot?haha, what the! You fordot the U in coues, I'm sure I've done that too, Before i got on this site I thought it was cooz , Like coors. Or cows deer, You're a newbie so we'll let it slide buddy

memories of gold, congrats to a skilled young hunter and father!

If it were only that easy TJ No I remember that trip well, We really allmost over did it. As I recall by the MAP, Jason , It was the steepest climb( 1500 vert ft in only an 1/8 mile horz. distance) , took three hours to climb out, the short cut as I told Jason Whoops , We did make it out before dark though. I dropped a chewed up 120 class coues shed and it rolled down the hill, I didn't go after it, the same happened with your water bottle right Jason? It was a doozy for sure! wasn't that late nov 07? Yup, that's Ol' boy in the pic. He's retired now. Jasons shepard Suki also made that trip, she was in heat and made for some humourus jokes over the weekend.

Hey shed brother!!! glad you decided to join up. I remember that shed you showed me, If I remember right I scored it at 350-ish? Huge 5 pointer no doubt. I got one that big, but only because his g-1 is busted clean off Heck of a find man, But what about the 400 head that was layin 60 feet from it?
-
On a wims notice I'm packin up and headin out. My buddy Jason just called and were outa here. Hope to have some pics to post. It's before primetime for sure but were after a couple bigguns .May the shed God be good too us.......... To be continued.

What can I say, If I had the pics they'd allready be up.As you can see I have ample time, but he don't. What aint right is I haven't seen my own pics or video C'mon Jason!!
-
Ok well Jason has all the footage and pics on his cameras so you'll have to be patient, he's a busy guy. However he has has vowed to take the coues oath and become a member of this awesome forum and start posting and visiting . I suspect he'll have it up soon. We had a great adventure!! I'm dying to tell about it but will have to add my 2 cents to his story and pics, I'm just his trusty sidekick anyway .

Addiction to Coueswhitetail.com
AZantlerhead replied to Couzer's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
+1 and only a year for me too. First I found the shed forum and was just stoked to have a place people liked sheds and could talk about them. Also a place where people know about and respect these little monster whitetails we have here. Then last october I nailed my first Coues, a 115 10 point to boot, There will be no treatment , I'm utterly hopeless . I too check this Website on average twice a day. Gotta have my CW fix ya know. It's a positive habit though, thanks Amanda, and ALL!! Especially for putting up with me Long live CouesWhitetail.com!! -
That would be a blast, and an honor. Some time this spring I hope. But I'll have to watch out for those oak limbs Even if we find one spike we'll post a truckload of Allens Res. sheds just so no-ones disappointed . jk, maybe. Or maybe we'll find our own truckload, I do know this one spot......... I'll call or write soon Josh.

Did you hear that? One just fell...... It's a big one too Boom, Crash, DA-Dunk..... theres the other side I can't wait to find some too my friend. Feb dropps are rare, but I've seen umm, elk and mulie.Rare I says, Won't be long now buddy. That's a good number of bulls spotted, lotta bone in just that herd!! Were they bunched up? Where were you? lol, jk man. OK who's got the down low on when coues drop in the rim country? GRONG SAYS..............

I guess I'm just late . VRRRROOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM, right over my head. I don't know how I missed that topic! AHHH nuts!!! I'm goin to look for Web Heads remains. This is a similar AZ bull seen by a couple people a few years ago who is rumored to be 500+ and then some, No one ever found his sheds or head though........ yet. I hope AZ gets the #1 spot back soon.

I was on King's the other day and saw the pics, video and story. That's one BIG Elk or the Biggest as far as B&C is concerned. I still see the Shipsey bull as the Unofficial record myself, But this ones just as big, allmost. But I guess it's the new WR, officially.Out of Utah So I was wondering who's seen it and who's smart enough to post the link, probly most of you, I'm just figuering out how to crop pics . The guy actually got his moneys worth out of this Governers tag, that's for sure. It sure took allot of hunters to get that wise old bull down. And I'm sure a good shot by one nervous hunter, I woulda been anyway, Awesome!!
