Just flippin awesome man!! thx for sharin, get's me pumped to pick up that bow this season, and the pack!

Heck of an antler!! Is it a 5 pt or is the 5'th hidden in the pic?? I would take a 340 5 pt over a 360 6 pt, if one had a choice. If you could please pass on the info to me of the buyer who is paying that much. That would help me out greatly If I could get that much. I aggree with Coach.. hold on to your favorites...sell the others, what you can stand too. lol Sold 40lbs the other day for 70$ , but my truck now has fresh brakes ..

All said is good so far.... But I can add something as I was a real bad teenager and will admit it. You even questioning your fathers ways and creating this thread is not a good sign,,,lemme learn you somethin kid...and pay attention. I tried that game agaisnt my Pop for years, I LOST. Get on the same team, and now!! Yeah that mossy oak commercial, the two highschool kids late for class cause they were "hunting"...... The next day them boys took the bus too school cause Pops took the truck keys and the hunting liscenses away for missing there class,,,also they stayed late for detention and excessive tardies....as well they were grounded for the weekend and chopped wood from sun up to down...while the good boy's went on real hunts with there Dad's.........the hard headed boys who didn't listen to there dads returned to school with blisters and splinters while that kid with the good grades brought pictures of his hunt and Buck, Both father and son smiling in the pictures. Ohh and he got an A on the test,,, and didn't have detention.... But the good boy still chopped some wood,,, just because he knew he should. The bad kid chopped it much longer, to hard headed to understand why... kept screwing up.. now 28 still trying to get there crap together,,,cause they thought they knew everything and there dad was a jerk...The ones who took there dad's advice...well.. they have careers and go to new zealand and africa hunting...instead of scrapeing together a tank of gas and an ice chest of grubb to make it out hunting. Your lucky your father has time to even look at your report card, keeping a roof over your head and food in your belly and clothes on your back is a hard job.Make his job of being a father easier....do what he says...It will make life for you easier too. Trust me, the flip side ain't too fun, for anyone. Why does all this make sense now instead of when i was young...ohh yeah..I was an idiot.. but that was my choice... are you an idiot...man I sure wish I hadn't been. Would have allot more bucks to my name, probly a great salary and get payed vacations to go hunt Alaska...I am way behind in life compared to most my friends and it sucks. Didn't have my priorites straight....Get yours right..It will help you out in life, the sooner the better...I'm still playing catch up!! Hope you understand your fathers discipline now, even if you don't... DO WHAT HE SAYS, FOLLOW THE RULES!! Take head to this warning. Or when your older you can tell a kid how much you screwed up and how much you regret it!! There..from the horses mouth

Congrats!! Dandy buck!! I said the same thing about muzzleloaders and coues,,,but I shot one that got away this year at 80yds and left no blood trail, that's after flopping around for 15 min, then he beat feet to the next county..don't overestimate the killing power of a 50. cal ml, or underestimate the toughness of a Coues might save you some grief someday.. Congrats again on your Buck man!! Good Job!

Heres a Couple of my bigger goofs Few years ago I dropped my percusion caps while getting in my truck leaving for a solo muzzy fall bear hunt, I saw three bears within the first two hours of my hunt ( the pack in ) wtf!!.....threw the useless gun in the brush for the weekend and went shed hunting...Did well...did not sleep well knowing I was defensless in dense bear country though, I didn't bring a sidearm either... I made more and bigger mistakes bear hunting the next year that I don't talk about much,,,allmost got myself and my dog killed...I don't bear hunt any more. Last year I layed on my belly on a boulder doubting my Honey hole, at 1pm opening day had a rival world record muzzy buck( 130ish ) walk through my shooting lane( the whole reson I wanted to carry the muzzy ),,,, my gun was 10 ft behind me of course,,,I made noise while trying to get to it, and trying to keep my breakfast down,,, havent seen that buck again. on the third day of that hunt I missed a 110ish buck and he stood there stareing at me for about thirty seconds,,, i went to reload the smoke pole and he turned and trotted off...I think it was the fact that I didn't foul my barrel... but did rush my shot after stopping him with a bleat, so who's to say...I missed....no blood no indication of a hit...sept some rocks kicked up near his feet This year opening morning got setup in my spot just before sunup....at about 8:30 I caught movement from the corner of my eye, it was a dandy buck that had just stood up from his bed a mere 80 yds from me and had been watching me all morning...he saw me see him and simply flopped back down,,,,dissapearing right before me besides the tips of his tines I had failed to notice all morning....I stood up to study his rack a little better through the grass he was hidden in....after about an hour and a half he stood up and just seemed to wait for me too shoot him...He was a young looking deer but probly pushing 90-95...it was opening day and I knew the ML WR was within a couple miles of me somewhere, but I figured I'd better shoot, as I'd had allmost two hours to size him up and knew this opp might not come again,,,besides that he was just awesome looking, allmost majestic, so I figured he'd make a great mount and I'd be proud to have his rack. I took forever to take the quartering to me shot,, when the smoke cleared he was thrashing belly up against a tree....this went on for 10-15 minutes...I thought surely any second he would die,,,,he then made an attempt to stand but fell back down...It finally occured to me this buck needed a second shot in him....I reloaded swiftly but did not have a shot as he was on the opposite side of a tree,,still thrashing and trying to recover..I ran as quikly as i could down the wash and up the other side to where he had been....He wasn't there and everything was silent...30 seconds later he comes up the side of the wash pulling a sneek move with head and tail down,,,allmost falling once...I tried to get on him but with the addrenaline and short but frantic hike up the wash my crosshairs floated from his head to his tail....I tried to get a rest on a limb or something but had nothing suitable....I tried to steady my sights freestanding on him again as he reached the top...nope...so I figured as slow as he was going I could run him down and put one in him, nope never saw him again....few stumble marks for a little ways and NO BLOOD AT ALL...nothing to follow...I looked for a couple hours but he was in the next county I guess...I said to myself again and again....what the heck just happened!! ......... Had no more opps the next 6 days...Stomping through my area in frustration the last day I found that all the fresh sign wason the shelf to my left and on the point behind me( Both out of view) instead of the heavy sign that had been in front of me the previous two years..I got busted by deer all around me all week and didn't know why , well the20-50 mph swirling wind didn't help but my lack of scouting didn't either. Much more but those ones will allways haunt me.

I heard it was like a U.S soldier guided hunt on a fenced military base...provided by uncle sam....sounds good, i guess they don't want umm there they just got fenced in when they built it..just what I've heard... even tell ya wich deer to shoot.. . Best wishes, I'm sure it will be a good hunt whatever the case. Does Hauchuca have any Coues deer?

Amanda, thas a Buck of Bucks!! Trying to catch up on cw....so many awesome bucks too see and hunts to read. Congrats Everyone also, but yours is just PERFECT!!! I agree the wind Blew, if I may say so...and allot! Once my 30 pound pack floated off the rocks like a leaf . But like Dad says, a bad day hunting is better than any day working , hope everyone enjoyed there hunts despite the mishaps or no-haps.Congrats to all who filled there Oct. AZ Grey Ghost tag....and Best wishes to all getting ready for their upcomeing chance. I now know the taste of coues tag soup,,,makes those little bucks and leftover & late archery tags look like some good grub . This Coues Whitetail hunting, let alone deer hunting is a disease, and a good one to have, thanks for this awesome site and sharing your amazing buck! -
Great set! Heck of a buck...great report too,Father son times like that don't get much better
-
Yeah can't be killing peoples "pets...they'd get mad...even if you have a tag and hunt on public land that is near...I remember a governor tag bull for instance taken near someone house, it died in the pet owners yard though and I believe the state now owns it, but that's all hear say, not the hunter or judge.nd then..some property owners will tell you where to sit on the fence..just depends I guess...I prefer to hunt far from town if possible ..as do most.. man i'd be on his butt for his sheds! Phenomenal buck!
