Great buck, congratulations. I was looking @ a group similar to that prior to archery season and was curious how wide he was. How wide did your buck end up being? -

I can concur the promaster is an AWESOME addition to your glassing arsenal. Very solid and goes tall enough to glass standing up plus some (I am 5'9"). Last weekend I was using mine in 20mph wind. Very steady to 4-500 yds after that I could notice a slight vibration. It is also very light weight. I have been using a medium duty 65" carbon fiber tripod for about 6years. It weigh's about 5lb 6oz with 700rc2 head My new setup with Promaster ball head and the Promaster legs Amanda sells http://store.coueswhitetail.com/tripods-tripod-heads/ weighs about 3lb 5oz. It is well well worth the coin!

That is great you got to stretch it out a bit. I like your target I would try and check your velocities through a chrono. My .260 is shooting 140's @ 2800

how quick will deer drop elevation on Kiabab after 1st snow?
izquik72 replied to apache12's topic in Youth Hunters
You will be fine. I helped on a CHAMP hunt in 2010 it was after the general season and prior to the late season. There was still deer up high, then we got 22" of snow. That moved them! I dont think your scouting was in vain and you guys will have a great hunt. Best of luck to your son and all Jr's hunting this weekend. -
Mountains surrounding Prescott got a bit o' the white stuff.
