Folks, taking the plunge for some quality gear since selling most of my gear and looking for a jacket and vest from KUIU in their VIAS camo pattern! Their website has been and always will be backed up on orders so hoping to come across some of this by other means! Let me know and also considering the Kelvin jacket by Sitka in the Open Country Optifade pattern! Thanks!1

Things your huntin buddies do that drive you nuts : )
Broken Wheels replied to twigsnapper's topic in The Campfire
One of my buddies has a wife that calls him at least 5 time a day. Drives me bonkers, and he talks to her in this wimpy voice like he talking to a 2 year old. He's always up for an adventure though and he always brings good snacks too. I'm sure I drive him nuts cause I never leave my dog home unless I absolutely have to. If it is that gorgeous Airedale Terrier I would leave the buddy at home before the four legged buddy without hesitation! -
I will ask our I.T. department to assist in posting some pics as computers are not my gig and now that Allen is a big time politician he hasn't the time to post them. I appreciate all that Allen is doing to try and help all of us keep our hunting rights as i know his time is taken up considerably between his company and his new role.

Thank you Lucky2hunt, forgot to mention or maybe meant to a purpose but as we are pulling Ranger off the trailer the Littleman flat out says "Papa I miss Nannie already" and I sure hope the pain didn't show in my face but without skipping a beat I told him Papa misses Nannie too but we are going to have a blast Littleman and that was that! Doggone Nannie and the magical web she weaves with my Littleman!

James you are most welcome and hope you have another opportunity at that buck, keep after him and stay positive!

PTT - still plenty of gear, packs, sleeping bags, scent proof bags, misc gloves, face masks, neck gaiters, beanies, jackets, foot heaters, Coleman bench/table combo (great for kids). Taking grandson camping one on one this weekend (wish me luck) to listen to Elk bugle so may not hear from me until Sunday afternoon/evening.

You mean a long range "harvester of wildlife" not "killer" Carl! We don't want to give the tree huggers any ammunition or votes for Obama do we?

Big Al, if you wait until Christmas I am almost certain you will find a lump of coal under the Christmas tree with your name on it!

Gentlemen: send me your cell phone #'s and i will send you pics of the packs i have left! One of the packs is the Eberlestock Executive, says project EXC on pack in Realtree Hardwoods, another is from Game Plan Gear the Realtree Roadtrips halfpack, a Cabelas fanny pack with a real comfortable butt pad, probably the best butt pad I've ever had! The other Eberlestock is I beleive the Slingshot with a detachable top portion and H2o compatible.

Allen knowing you I'd suggest you stick to the wood burning and since you have that awesome 19 year old young man coming this year all of us pretty much would agree he is tagged with fire watch or at least that was the way it worked when we were young! Just saying...

Interesting question and the honest answer I would think lies in each individual as there can't be a black n white answer for all. I know my Uncle was one of the best trap n skeet shooters i ever saw but he couldn't hold my Father's jock strap when it came time to hunting quail or dove! Good question to stir the pot though for sure! Allen, how did the show go last night at Game n Fish?

Bump with better prices...

"Broken Brain" he says! Ouch! Where's the love after I carted Miss Daisy around for 4 days showing him the sights and sounds of the great village of Roy New Mexico? We had a blast, saw alot of critters and enjoyed the lavish comforts of good ol Martha's! Poohunter you will do well on the Kaibab as usual and should have it down to a science after being drawn three years in a row... Peace out!

Well we are back from the Village of Roy, New Mexico and it was an eventful, awesome hunt with my friend Allen! I will let him tell you all the story but I want ya'all to know this dude can friggin shoot!!! 537 yards, one shot one kill and for those who think that is a chip shot please hold your tongue as I am too old now to hear fairy tales and braggerts who are more "want a be's" than honest hunters who can appreciate a darn good shooter like Coueshunter! Good time, good hunt and something I hope to do again in a couple years!

Heard it is a great area depending who you hunt with of course! As for the quality of the animals, well it varies of course but you could see anything from a barely legal buck to a 90" buck any given day! Hunt early hunt hard and hunt till dark! FYI - sometimes certain villages lack essentials such as ice, gas, cell phone service so plan ahead for such problems! Martha's Cafe is NOT happening but her "no tell motel" is acceptable and provides a roof over your head and a shower to wash the dust off.

I am stoked for this trip and hope it ends up the same as a couple years ago with Allen sitting in his motel bed at night measuring and adding up his score! Stay tuned, Allen wil follow up with the final story...

My Father bought his first and only vehicle in his lifetime and it was one of these Scouts(Stump Jumper) and it was incredible! From the Greenbacks to the Bradshaw Mountains to Seligman, we covered some serious ground and even floated across the Verde a couple times to get from the Matazals to Cave Creek without having to go all the way back to Sunflower! Wish I had room in my stable as I would love this thing! Thank you for bringing back fond memories of a good man in better times, should sell quickly! Broken Wheels
