Coosefan, I completely agree with you. I am very happy for anyone that has this kind of draw luck, but it is also hard to swallow having 16 bonus points for lope and never drawing a lope tag. I am starting to lose hope as my card has not been hit. I guess I will have to wait another year. Bonus points dont mean sqwat......

Hap is 3/4 hound. Not sure of the parents. I think one might have been bluetick. He is 1/4 German Short Hair. Really fun dog to hunt with. I have a few hounds that can out trail him, but not by much. In 40 years I have never had a dog that could touch him all around. You almost laugh when you see him work. You just want to say to yourself, "Did I just see that?" I have heard that every now and then a gsp/ bluetick can sometimes make a dinamite cat chasen dog. I know very little about hounds, but I sure like gsp's energy/speed and a dang good nose to boot. What do you think, could this be the next breed for runnin and treeing cats in the desert?

only 10% of non-residents git a tag. that means 90% of residents git one this happen every year. JS I know how it works partner, all I'm saying is that last year there weren't as many of us getting drawn for elk around here as there are this year not to mention lopes, I've never seen so many guys from 1 or 2 forums getting drawn for Lopes. You might not have been here last year though. I'm telling ya, G&F is trying to save major face here, they in no way want the state to know that applications were down 40% and they lost all that liceance and app fee revenue because they kicked prices up too high all at once. I was over on MM and there were many many non-residents that bowed out this year. Many more than the ones who stayed in. Thats only one forum imagine the thousands who backed out that don't bother with forums. I'm telling you... there is no way that apps were up this year! Donnie Donnie, I hope your right and most of us Az. boys get a tag this year......Sorry non rez guys I just want to go elk huntin just once

Dude you're bummin, they take out the application fee when you apply. Mr. Bill, I think he is right From what I hear that fee is takin right when they receive your app. If I get a tag and you dont you are most welcome to go with me. Terry
